nickfury510, i am using two small, separated areas. both are 1.5X1.5ft with a height of 3ft. one is for veg. and the other for flowering... would you still recommend an HID light for each grow area? or cfl's in the veg area and HID in the flower area?

great job man. i give you respect for educating people with accurate information. this site needs more people like you who are willing to show people whats really right and wrong by proving it with tests and experiments.

thats pretty nice, 42oz from only cfl's?? how do the cfl's meet up to the high demand of lumens needed if combining cfl's does not increase lumens? correct me if i am wrong... newbie

i know HID lights work well for growing and having a large outcome of buds but i am on a budget so is it possible to use a combination of cfl lights to match up to the results of a HID light?

will combining multiple 23watt/1600lumen cfl bulbs increase my lumen output or keep it at 1600lumen? i am using a space of 2x2ft with a height of 4ft. i plan on using 3000 lumens for the veg. space and about 10,000 lumens for the flowering space. recommendations would be appreciated friends...
