Hey all been busy the last couple days. Found some time to get out to the lake but no luck. Water is way too warm for speck fishing on shore. Doesn't help the pup loves the water so it's hard to keep her out. Had a few fish jumping for the bug hatch on the surface but of course I left the fly...

People around here toss them on shore. They are quite invasive and will destroy a walleye rich lake if left alone. Personally I find barely a difference in taste compared to walleye but the meat almost seems "soggy". Apart from texture they're just as fun to eat as they are to catch.

You must be around southern Ontario or further out west? We don't have em here up north. Never would have thought they were that tough to catch, I almost expected them to act aggressively like pike and just go for anything in front of them.

As for the set up - it's been switched around quite a bit now. Getting set up for perpetual. Meijiu bar LED coming in this week. I'm hoping lumber prices drop enough this winter to make finishing my basement worth it. Then I can start on a dedicated room.

I find them bland myself, but I've never turned down a fish fry! I like em deep fried in flour, cornmeal and cajun or lemon pepper :bigjoint: I just got a new meat grinder for fathers day so I see pike burgers on the horizon :mrgreen:

I don't have any definitive answers to this but am genuinely curious as well. A few questions if you don't mind - What variety/strain have you been growing? I'd suggest a "pure" (or as close) CBD variety if you could. Something like a 1:10 (THC:CBD) to avoid accidentally giving yourself a buzz...

That's actually an awful price for 100w of power. You'll need 10 of those to achieve 1000w. 600 ACTUAL watts should be enough for a 4x4 area. Don't look at the equivalent wattage, look at the actual wattage of the lights. I suggest doing some more research before diving into LED.
