What do you think is better?

I would definitely go coco over hydroton, but I'm a coco fanatic. Coco is so hard to screw up.

    They look overwatered.

Leaves our droopy, not overwatered,on a strict water scedule

Yes. You should get a feel for how much the pot weighs when it has the max amount of water you want and when it needs to be watered again. The top should look a little dry when it's time to water, IMO.

Can or should i Top more?

I thought you were serious for a minute. Sorry for wasting my time. Do you put that whole "big" bud into the grinder at once, or do you break it up into the actual individual buds that make it up. I'm not talking about popcorn.

Can or should i Top more?

Like I said, after 3 and 5, the only cuts I make are for even canopy height in veg. Any loss in flower size will be more than made up for by the uniform light penetration. If you super crop and get that same flower sideways, it's "more and more smaller flowers" but what difference does it...

Can or should i Top more?

I have a hard time taking any of that seriously -- I've been using the SAME smart pots for 5 years. They are as good as the day I bought them. The funny thing is, I've been on the other side of this argument when someone was asking why I used such big pots, lol. I can't imagine my plants...

Can or should i Top more?

One thing I've learned after 5 years, don't be afraid to cut a plant in veg if you need to. I typically top at node 3 and 5, but depending on what else is going on, I may hit a few of the taller plants a couple more times.

Can or should i Top more?

I'm doing organic coco in 3 or 5g smart pots. I bought a 30g smart pot for a lemon tree I have to bring in during the winter, lol.

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

Man, you guys are making me consider trying it. I hope this isn't BS, because my current trimming/curing process is working great. But who doesn't want more smell. My only concern would be handling dry bud and knocking trichs off.

Can or should i Top more?

Why such huge pots? They make your plants look small, lol. FWIW, I use 3 and 5g pots for plants that get 4-6 ft tall. If you don't have a lot of lights, I can't imagine 25g pots are necessary. When it comes to keeping the canopy even, I cut as much as I want in veg, but only super-crop in flower.

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

On some bud, you can pluck the leaves off. I do this wet. Not sure if it would work dry. Can be much faster once you get good at it.

8 weeks into Barney's critical kush and others - biobizz grow

So just finishing up 9 weeks. If the plant doesn't look spent and I'm not seeing amber trichs, I like to let them go another week or two because they will pack on more weight unless I have a reason to trim right away, like going out of town or something.

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

I trim wet. Hay smell goes away. Weed I wet trim has to be double-bagged to prevent stank from leaking out once it's fully cured. People try to make trimming and curing way more complicated than it has to be. I used waste time leaving them on the stem and hanging them until the stems barely...

8 weeks into Barney's critical kush and others - biobizz grow

Looking frosty! You really need a pocket scope to check those trichs. I agree that based on the plant, you still have more time.

Leaves our droopy, not overwatered,on a strict water scedule

Saying you're on a strict schedule doesn't mean the plant isn't over watered. If your strict water schedule is wrong, you could easily be overwatering. As the plant gets bigger, it gets hotter or less humid, you have to water more. Your photo is blurry, but I don't see anything horrible. How...

    Feeling kind of dumb... :P

You should top them and get them bushed out. You need better light so they are fuller. Not sure trying to flower those now will be productive.

    Aeroponic help

Yeah, I was using 350ppm tap water and had temp problems with my room so I'm sure it was my fault but it was frustrating and I've really had an easy time with coco and I'm loving the results. I put in an RO system but never used it with my dwc. I've got rainwater out here which is amazing.

    Aeroponic help

Years ago someone swore they used sand to do all their cloning with a high success rate. I wonder if you could just rinse the sand away when you transfer to the aero? Anyway, good luck.

    Aeroponic help

I run organic coco. I started out with DWC and got root rot two grows in a row. I'd never do DWC again after going to coco. All that PH, PPM crap. I had the pens, res-chiller, etc. But I'm not doing the kind of volume you are.
