    4x4 light for $1,000

haha yeah the HLG lights really impressed me, but with the height restrictions I think it would just be negating any positive benefits the HLG would provide. Given my height restrictions, you think the Raging kush would be a good choice?

    4x4 light for $1,000

Ah okay. well, my tent is 80” in height. Using dwc cuts out 15” of space with the buckets, then if I used a light like the HLG 600 or 550, and had to hang 24” + above the canopy, and 15” recommended below the roof of the tent, that only leaves me with 26 inches of actual plant height to work...

    DWC questions!! Help please

Also, yeah I’ve heard 1 watt per gallon. But is that really a good measurement method? Cuz I’ve seen 320 GPH pumps that are 8 watts, and 360 GPH pumps that are 20-25 watts.

    DWC questions!! Help please

what do you mean 5 gallon individual? I was planning on 4x 4 gallon buckets recirculating from a 5 gallon reservoir. So around 15-16 gallons total when filled

    4x4 light for $1,000

would you mind explaining where it’s lacking? I’d be using it as a light specifically for flowering in a 4x4 tent.

    DWC questions!! Help please

I’m looking to run a 4 site RDWC in a 4x4 tent. Each plant taking up about 2x2ft space. Plants won’t be super tall cuz tent is only 80in. I’m thinking about using 4 gallon square buckets, and I’m wondering if 4 gallon buckets will be big enough for the plants all the way through both veg and...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

nooo, I didn’t feed at 1.4 EC. I fed when I went to start the next “flush” and the run off came out at .7. So that’s when I give it half strength nutes, checked a few days later and EC was down to .3. So then I have it a feeding slightly lower than full strength (1.2 EC) and then yesterday I...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

And yeah, that’s why I fed them. I read everywhere, including on here that since your plants are technically starving from lockout, that you should feed them ASAP so they can get some nutrients. Isn’t that correct? (Once you get EC down to regular numbers that is)

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

nah I did another watering to check EC/ ph (using the method you told me to use.) and then I fed them the first time because after letting checking the first 10% run off the ph had gone down from 1400 to 700 on it own, so I assumed that meant it was taking up nutrients again. I let the pot dry...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

It’s definitely a lockout. I was under the impression that when a plant experiences a lockout, it’s not taking up nutes (hence the term, lockout) so you flush the soil to remove salt and nute build up. Then, when the medium is replenished, (took me one good flush, and then another small...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

well, when I checked the run off, the EC had gone down by half on its own since I flushed it a few days before, so I figured it was up taking nutrients again. (Considering I didn’t do a flush in the traditional sense, I just ran water through one little spot) The medium was relatively dry still...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

I had lockout from buildup, so I didn’t really have much of a choice

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

so I flushed one of my plants and got it down to 1.4 EC, a few days later I ran a tiny amount of water through side of the pot and then run off was 750 EC. So I gave it a feeding of half strength nutes (650EC) And then I few days later I watered to check run off again, and it was 300 EC, so I...

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

oh yeah, not sure if you read my earlier post but you were right, Ph was more like 5.7-5.8. And alright, I’ll do that for sure. Definitely gonna grow photos next time. Autos are way too finicky. Also, I assume you mean give it a higher volume of water, but less often? Does that includes when I feed?

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

sorry, what I meant by recover is when will the plant not be locked out anymore and start growing “normally” again. I know the leaf damage will never recover.

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

sorry I totally made a mistake when I said 6.2. I was running 6.6-6.7 ph water through it and it came out at 6.2. So it was most likely like 5.8 or so. My bad.

    Tiny orange spots on leaves!!

sorry meant 2.6 not 2.4. And also, meant to ask, how long do you think it’ll take for the plants to bounce back and recover from this?
