PH is a measure of acidity in your soil and water. Nothing to do with your environment. You need to go do more research before making assumptions and attempting to lend others as green as you are advice.
Google is your friend. I grow indoors and not soil I'll only use something if there's a need to eradicate them. I don't have to deal with caterpillars or grasshoppers in a tent.
Just because you don't see them on the plant now doesn't mean they aren't feeding on it or other insects. Get an insecticide you find acceptable and treat them.
I watered the medium when I transplanted them I'm just assisting in it getting dryer. My buckets have a reservoir in them at the bottom. More oxygen in the medium means more roots. It's a hand water flow to waste hydro system in Coco and perlite. They're called hempy buckets.
The advice I'm going to give you is don't use, what I assume is your real photo, as a profile photo on a site where we share photos of us cultivating a schedule 1 narcotic.
