Yea I have 8 gal between the two now. They will drink 2 gal in a day some times though.....it's way too much maintenance. Edit: with root mass can only comfortably put about 4 gal in each bucket.

Please don't pair up ph balancing your water to your issue. If you start ph balancing your water you will significantly enhance everything about your end product. But it sounds like your issue was an extended time with no o2. Edit: can always run some sort of hydro guard or orca. And peroxide...

Still chugging along. Got a lot of the RDWC ready. Plants will stay in 5 gal buckets but add a 13 gal tank and chiller to the party.
