    duct fan confusion?

Yes, it really is rocket surgery. WTF? There is only one person making it complicated. I can't believe this has gone 4 pages. Don't complicate something that is not complicated.

    duct fan confusion?

If you show them this thread, you would have a good case. Once you have everything in hand: 1. Put on your helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and safety glasses. 2. Plug the fan in and notice which way it "blows" and which way it "sucks". 3. Sit and think a bit. 4. Resist the urge to stick any...

    duct fan confusion?

The fan doesn't need to be directly connected right next to the filter. Use flex hose (duct) or whatever you need between the two to make the connection. How big is your tent?

    duct fan confusion?

You can pull (preferably) air through or push (less efficient but doable) air through a filter. The filter flange makes no difference as it is capped on the other end. There may be a mismatch if you have to turn the fan around. That is what others have been trying to say in this thread. You...

    duct fan confusion?

If you want to use the filter like "method 2" you are set. They explained that "method 2" is for smaller tents that you can't hang the filter inside. Method 2 involved pushing air out through the filter. It is more efficient to pull air through the filter. If you can hang your filter in the...

Soiless in Smart Pots. Is Draining really important?

I have been thinking about a similar mix for my next grow. On average, how often do you need to water? I was looking into hempy buckets, but with my job, there is always a chance I could be gone for a couple of days.

You set your tent up backwards.

First Time Grower: Plants per square feet/CFLs

Your 20 CFLs are going to produce a lot more heat than you think in that small space. You should have more than enough light. I don't believe you have room for more than 2 plants. 20 x 26w = 520w. 260w per plant.

What to do With Popcorn Buds

I always envisioned them as "samplers". :)

    duct fan confusion?

Just turn the fan around. It's not complicated. Many people have duct between their filter and fan also.

What plant has a similar growing process to weed?

Dude. Evaporated whale semen is a gimmick. Got to Sea World and get it straight from the source.

    question about air vent

That depends on the strain. I needed a filter 3 weeks after sprout. I would have the filter on hand for when you need it.

    Correct CFM to scrub tent.

Give it a try. Like I said, I thought the same thing. My filter is resting against the back wall of my tent. But that should leave about 7/8 of usable filter surface area. All I know is that the filter cleared up the "sour" smell in my house in about 2 hours.

    Correct CFM to scrub tent.

I agree it will work with a stronger fan. Like your friend said, it will just be less efficient. I believe there are a number of people out there that "push" through a filter. I will say that I have a smaller CF tent than you, but about the same height. I have plenty of room even with the...

    Correct CFM to scrub tent.

What's the reason for pushing air through the filter vs pulling it through?

    Correct CFM to scrub tent.

No way do you need a 300+ CFM fan for a < 40 CF grow space.

    question about smell

You have 37.33 CF in that tent. The 190 CFM fan will suck the walls in even with a speed controller on low. I believe I have the same fan and filter (from a different supplier) for my 2'x4'x5' tent and it is more than enough turned way down. Unless you plan to expand the space soon.

    I'm a victim of FIM

They look like good plants to transplant to bigger pots and bury the stem a little.
