not always IMO. topping and fim are almost the same thing. a fim is just a fucked up topping attempt. ive gotten up to 7 tops after topping it once yeah i guess everyone has their own opinion but for me the fim has worked the best so far

i fimmed it 1st, then as soon as they started growing out and up i tied it down, slowly as the branches got big enough i tied them down too, and this is what i have now. pretty happy with it. itll definitely get more bud then the plant next to it.

its ALWAYS better to fim, it just adds a 3rd top, sometimes more, my white widow thats up there grew 5 tops after it was fimmed!!
