    first time grow w/ pics

Aside from being tall and spindly it looks healthy. Get your lights within 1-2 inches of it (If you're using CFL's). And I dunno how old it is, but maybe start feeding some high N nutes. :hump:

    Training Your Plant Horizontal?

Yeah, I'm doing LST on my plants right now. Well actually I just unshackled the big one so it can have it's vertical time before the shackles are put back on. Go check out my journal. :hump: VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Planning my first grow. A few questions.

Sounds perfectly solid. A little more humidity in there wouldn't hurt, but it's not essential. Just keep doing what you're doing and resist the noobie urge to fuck with stuff. I know, it's hard. :hump:

A medical patient needs to designate you a primary care provider. You have to be over 18. That's about it. :hump:

WARNING: Exercise caution Elite Genetics may have been busted….7-22-09

Oh, America. Why are you so anal? Oh those charges will be federal, the mail system was involved. Anything involving the mail system is a federal offense in the good old USA. A fallen warrior is never nice to hear about. Definitely smoke one in honor later. Hopefully his work will live on...

Planning my first grow. A few questions.

I had a plant do this exact same thing, give it time. Don't give up on it, I almost gave up on my runt and it's doing wonderfully now. And DON'T fuck with the cotyledons, the tips may look burned or whatever but the plant still needs those as it's main source of nutrients for a while. Don't go...

    Germination retardation!

Yeah, at this point it's just a waiting game. No sense in wasting the rockwool, so just leave it alone. As long as you keep it warm and damp the seed has just as much of a chance in that rockwool as it does anywhere else. Give it some time, might take a little longer than the old PT method. Get...

    TVMASDL Grow No. 1

Yeah, this will be her last home unless I move her outside. And that's probably not going to happen. It's a 4gal. bucket, so chances are I won't be watering again for about a week like you said. No transplant shock really it looks like, she's taller/wider this morning than she was last night...

    Germination retardation!

Yeah you should try germinating it in a paper towel and tupperware (or something similar) first before moving it to a medium. :hump:

    TVMASDL Grow No. 1

So, the big plant was transplanted today. Managed to do a pretty clean transplant, even knocked off a bunch of the rootball dirt without damaging any roots. :eyesmoke: This was an appropriate move right? I've read it's pretty effective at reducing some shock and encouraging root growth. Dug...

are nutes a necessity when growing in soil?

Perlite is generally a good idea. Just don't put a catfish in the bottom of the pot, the perlite won't solve your drainage problem then. :hump:

What will make leaves curl up or droop other than heat?

This is true. My tubes are most definitely 6500k, and I wouldn't keep my 2700k CFL's anywhere near within 1/4 inch of the plant. Good point Mysticlown. +rep :hump:
