Perlite is generally a good idea. Just don't put a catfish in the bottom of the pot, the perlite won't solve your drainage problem then. :hump:

This is true. My tubes are most definitely 6500k, and I wouldn't keep my 2700k CFL's anywhere near within 1/4 inch of the plant. Good point Mysticlown. +rep :hump:
