    Inline pump suggestions!! RDWC

I use a Danner 5 on 20 gallons so you may want to think about a 7. Inline for sure so you can build some sort of t with a drain valve to drain it. Inline you really don't have to worry about the pump heating your water. If you had a chiller then you really wouldnt have to worry about it. Just...

    quiet air pump brand?

My ET80 was extremely quiet. Over the fans and pumps, I often had to get close to it/put my hand on it to make sure it was working lol. My homie ran an Alita 120 and it was fairly quiet also. Not quiet like the ET was though.

Sterile vs bennies in warmer temps

Rky, did you ever have a problem with your free chlorine reacting with the nitrogen component in your nutes? It seemed like when I would use shock with my GH three part, the chlorine would react with the nitrogen to create chloramine and I would be left with no free chlorine.

Week 7.5 flower ready to harvest!?!

Yes, dont stop feeding them. Simply taper down according to plant needs, just the opposite of what you did when they were growing.

Week 7.5 flower ready to harvest!?!

Most of your hairs should turn brown/red. Your fans will fade. It will look like autumn in there and once you have seen it once you will know. You have 75% or so white by the looks of it. Patience.....I made the mistake of harvest early once and couldnt take it back.

Bulkheads are a wise investment and that is an understatement. Your hardwood floor will thank you.

sudden changes in ph and ce

So. First question I would ask you is, what is your system capacity and how many plants? Second question would be what stage of growth are you in? Also, yes. When its hot you lower EC/CF to make up for the extra water the plants are taking in/transpiring. You are on the right track.

Daily water top ups for seedlings

Either really. What are you running for nute solution? You don't HAVE to water it with nutes until you get a couple sets of leaves, but as long as your not pouring 400ppm on it you will be fine with either.

My first grow DWC problems. HELP!!!

You need to focus on getting a method of preventing your rot because nothing else is going to matter if you are constantly fighting that. Peroxide works SOMETIMES and like rky said, its not something you just do once and poof. You have to commit. Me, my method is EWC tea. You can choose sterile...

    any help 1st time hydro

Algae needs light to grow so cover your rockwool with something dark and plastic. As others have said, lower your nutes. 200ppm.

Wilting leaves and brown spots - RDWC

Sweet. Let us know how it works out for you. If you look at page 2 of my "uk auto" grow, you will see I posted some pictures of when I switched to RO and did not mind the calmag as I should have. Just something to reference.

Wilting leaves and brown spots - RDWC

Just calibrate your meter with some bluelab 4 and 7. The $400 meter is only as good as its calibration. 5.4-6.2 PH don't sweat it otherwise. Calmag - you need to calmag your water to like 150ppm before you add anything else. It is during this stage (early veg) which you will start to see cal...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

It is said here that Fungi don't need to brew as they don't multiply anyway.

    Outdoor hydro

That's pretty cool. You can never match the power of the sun right? Probably the only RDWC guy that doesnt have to worry about leaks LOL. What are you using for aeration? As far as adding concentrated nutes...I mean give it a try. You can just dump you water and re-do it if you dont like the...

Sterile vs bennies in warmer temps

Done right, your water will stay crystal clear with very little to no buildup on the sides of the buckets. Sterile will do you just as well too though, although I think sterile works much better if your water has very little organic/bacteria load to begin with IE Distilled Water or RO.

Getting fresh water to center mass

I mean OP, we see what you are saying. Water has to be displaced by force to be exchanged. But if your theory was right we would all have a mass of dead roots in the center of our root balls. It just doesnt happen though. Also, if the roots themselves sucked in water would they not be doing...

How often to water seedling in rockwool and when to transplant

Love rockwool. I just dunked the cube in a container full of nutrient solution based on WEIGHT. I would just pick up the cube and if it weighed about as much as a dry cube I would dip it in nutrient solution. 250ppm and just a touch of UC Roots or shock to keep it nice. Keep a dry cube around...

is h2o2 better than hydrogaurd for warm reservoir?

When I was running ORCA my first grow, my res got up to high 70's and no problems. Pre-Chiller days. ORCA has Trichoderma in it as well as BA like hydroguard. I really think Trichoderma fungi are the real "powerhouses" as far as combating pathogens go.
