    The Mephisto genetics thread

Got a few going right now. They all look great...but the Double Grape is very impressive. Very impressed with Mephisto. This is my first auto and my first indoor grow (been outdoors/fem for 5 seasons). I think I'll stick with Double Grape for the next few grows. Still need to get dialed in...

They are all super healthy and looking good. Full blown flower. Somehow...the other plants are actually catching the 7.5' Bluberry Fem. 6.5' Pure Indica stacking flowers already. And a few indoor pictures from the Double Grape auto tent. Cant wait for these to finish up! They are ROCK...

Nice! Looking good! I am getting close to the last N heavy feed for the season. They are almost all through transition. Getting exciting now! Hopefully we can hold it together and the weather cooperates.

Looking healthy and happy! Nice work! Thirsty is good if the wet dry cycle is going that fast, so great news. You clearly have healthy roots and they are hungry and eating. Awesome news.

I think you are gonna be impressed! Lol...I took what I've seen some other growers use and reworked it for my needs. It's all self contained in the pots and working great so far. I'll get some pics tomorrow so I can get feedback. I have a good feeling about it though. We will see. Hahaha

I would take the eater you are going to use, add your nutes, then test the ph. It might change a lot once nutes are added. After nutes are added, ph to 6.5 or whatever you are shooting for. Everyone is different on their preferred ph but between 6 and 7 should be the target. I adjust ph with...

I wouldn't. I would leave it alone and just reinforce the weak side so that it doesnt cause damage when it gets heavy during flower. In my humble opinion, it looks healthy enough to let it go, and the damage and stress of splitting it now could be a huge problem.

Looking good! Yea, I am in the process of making a bamboo "Urban Remo" style trellis system contained inside the pot. I have high hopes that it will support what I imagine will end up being 20-25, 3-4' long colas (haha...seriously though) and let me spread the limbs out. But we will see!

Could be. Will be interesting to see how they respond. The only thing that throws me off about that is the solid brown spots coming from the edges in. I've had N def before but havent seen brown that solid or crispy creeping from the edges from just N def. Doesnt look like it's at crisis levels...

To adjust the soil ph up or down you would add lime or sulfur to the soil. Before I had a consistent long term water storage solution (kiddie pool with tap water sitting for 24 hours hahaha), I would ALWAYS ph my water after adding nutes. Even though I am in soil. Not PH'ing your water...

Had some wind...got a little crazy...but all is well. Flower is ramping up... Below...was a stump from a Big Bubba Kush mother that was planted on the edge of a 15gal pot that an auto was in. I noticed there was a little sprout about an inch tall on the mothers stump a week after I cut the...

Crazy wind on the south shore. For about 2 hours. Must have topped 25-30mph at times. Was nuts. Flipped a few plants. They shook it right off. Hahaha

Perfect. Once you know that (the soil and water ph), we should all be able to focus in on what's happening.

Cool. The soil will be easy to test with that thing, but the water can be tricky. Ive used 3 different methods on the same water and got 3 different results. The most reliable seem to be either a medium-expensive pen, or the drops. The drops you can get at the hydro store for $15. Comes with a...

It looks like this one is made by one company and then sold thru a bunch of resellers under different names. Anywhere from $10-$15. All good reviews. Lowes has it, Home Depot also. There are also some test kits that are cheap that supposedly work great. Then a ph pen or the colored bottles...

Lowes, amazon, Home Depot...they should all have decent soil PH testers. Let me look real quick and try to figure out the best one. I think they are relatively inexpensive. 1 sec...

As far as the slowed growth, that could link back to the same PH issue. It may have just manifested itself visually as a potassium deficiency first. If drainage is good and you are having good wet/dry cycles, I'd say its probably not the roots (I'm assuming your drainage is good). Especially...

    Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

My guess would be potassium deficiency due to a PH issue. That specific deficiency is known to cause yellowing on older leaves toward the bottom, and cause brown spots that spread from the edges in. Usually because the PH is out of whack just enough to stop the potassium uptake, or because it...
