I do the same. If I overdo the phdown I give it potassium silicate. I use dyna gro pro-tekt. This is a good way to balance out your acidic nutrient solution and strengthen you plants cell walls. mm

6 ph in soil could possibly cause some problems over time, but shouldn't devastate a plant after one watering. Lower ph in soil (over time) can cause magnesium and calcium deficiencies. You should post more pictures and information about your setup and problem. mm
