    Trying something new.

It looks like you could use another ft of screen all the way around. My 1st screen looked worst than this, next time I flipped earlier and it turned out better, then I more or less gave up on screens and went for short independent units. Less product / sf but much less work, You know I like...

    Trying something new.

Hey gr looks great. You've only got a few problem branches, and you can pull them over to keep them in check and out of the light.

What lights? Please help! Need to get setup for harvest soon!

I have a large 2' square hood over a 4' square grow, it has 3 bulbs in it (2 400W retro CMH and a 1000W HPS in the center) I have 3 of these kits to install once the retro bulbs I have all reach end of life, I know they are all well past their prime I just love how plants preform under them...

What lights? Please help! Need to get setup for harvest soon!

These units are for people that have been running MH and HPS light the sockets for the bulbs in these reflectors / hoods have mogul sockets for the bulbs. The kit has a ballast for a 315W CMH bulb and a socket converter for the new 2 prong CMH bulbs. But since you don't have a hood and the the...

65gal smart pot Scrog year 2

Great grow, 3wks might be overly optimistic the purple kush looks like it might be another month but the skunk could be another 6+ wks. Hope the weather holds out for you. My outdoors needs to get to the end of Oct.

What lights? Please help! Need to get setup for harvest soon!

CMH is by far the best spectrum. Been rocking them for 8 yrs, I do have a 1k HPS bulb in the hood for dead of winter grows for heat. I'm just pissed at Philips because once they found out growers were using their bulbs they discontinued the 400W retro bulb it ran in a standard HPS socket on a...

    World Of Hempy

I like the idea of river rock in the rez. I'm guessing 1/2" minus in size. Just use some small pea gravel after getting above the hole. It's the same as using chunky perlite in the rez and a top coat of fine pelite like I do. Then again a little coco in the rez really doesn't matter a lot...

manipulating light duration and plant growth possable new growing idea

Plants need a light and a dark cycle, I believe the dark is more important than the light, especially HID lighting. Plants make carbs and special sugars during the light and these are used during the dark. It's like a battery the longer the dark the more drain on the system. As you all know the...

Good thing I chopped the skunk outdoors, the clone of the outdoors beast showed sex and it's a boy. Never cloned the extra 2lb'er maybe I'll put it in the skunks bucket, but with the size of the other 3 it's probably better to give them the room.

    First time grower problems.

You say hydro, but can I ask whats in the cup? coco, clay beads, peat??? Aside from that, are the leaves crispy on the edges? To me it looks like a fungal disease. I've seen something like this in my rm yrs ago but not this early in the grow I called it death.

    First-timer question on grow light

So you're looking for a inexpensive start. The light you showed just won't work. You can get an 85watt or 105watt cfl spiral bulb for just over 20 buck and go to a local ranch or farm store and pick up a brooders lamp (used for raising chicks) they look like aluminum dome work light from days...

    Grow room vs tent

Like mentioned it's all about ventilation. I prefer the fresh air in from outdoors and exhaust back outside, which is easier in a room. Unless you are looking for the total controlled environment which is a lot more work.

    Drying methods?

My method is different than @Richard Drysift but the concept is the same the bud has to dry enough before it is jarred. The bud will feel crispy on the outside but will still be moist in the center. If you think you screwed up and went too far then leave more stem going into the jars.

    Trying something new.

Hey gr you frickin' rocket scientist. Looking at the size of your screen and the 8 plants under it I'd start soon. You are already at 50% full and I know you understand stretch. The common rule is 60% to 70% full but with fewer plants for your size screen. Really nice to see you haven't given...

65gal smart pot Scrog year 2

Not to be a Debbie downer, but with past experience (saw 4lbs of product die one night) the plant above the soil is really hardy and will withstand minor freezes (0 to -2 C) repeatedly but it's the roots that can't take a freeze. Your 65 gal pots are large and that's good, but it's not the same...

Pandemic Grows Outdoors and Organic Hempy

Winter tried to move in early this year. On Tuesday 9/8 it snowed at less than a 1000 above my valley home temp dropped to 33F next night warmed up to 39 now back to the low 40's for an overnight low. It really seemed to push the flowering, and they survived well. The Knockout Kush is done and...
