People will tell you I'm crazy, because most don't like touching seedlings. But I say take a needle, or safety pin and kind help it out of the rooter plug.
I just turn them into each other well. Slowly adding a bit of perlite, then a bit of soil, so on, and so forth until you get a well mixed medium. I use around a 60:40 - soil to perlite - mix.
It's not like anyone respects people with higher reps anyway. Anyone can sit on here all day and reply to "What light should I get?" threads and get Rep.
If you get crafty, you can take a hanger and bend it into a stake. Just thought I'd offer up a DIY option. A buddy of mine also reccomends tying the colas upward rather than staking into the soil and possibly damaging root structure.
What if there were pH buffered nutrients, as well as non-buffered nutrients, used? Would the buffering from the one product be able to overcome the separate pH's of other nutrients/water/supplements added?
I find it interesting that FDD doesn't think pH matters. I may have to ask him his thoughts on this.
Also, I've heard that Advanced Nutrients pH buffers their products. And since AN is cannabis-specific (I believe...) then is it safe to understand their pH buffering as: Whatever your tap water...
