green light does not effect the photo period of plants, find a green LED flash light or any type of green bulb and you'll be fine to go in the room at night to make adjustments with out worrying about messing the photo period up hope that helps! STAY GREEN!

your saying use four of those instead of the tote? i like building things so i might just build it anyways and try it out lol if it dont work i wasted a few hours of my life...trials and tribulations i guess!

@Rhino~ ive seen something like that looks easy and efficient! i got all the parts i would need to make the design i had in mind so i geuss the best ways to know if somthing works or not is to build it and let it run! @Nubby~ Yeah that was what i was thinking maybe a continuous flow for like 20...

should i have it on continuous flow or set the pump on a timer and only run it for short periods of time through the day light hours?

i dont know if the air stone is necessary but i figured it wouldn't hurt( i got a couple air pumps line and air stones just sitting around), was thinking of making a O2 chamber before the water hits the tray with the airstone in it to oxydize the water before it hits the roots...pointless?

yeah i looked into those but they where in enclosed in pvc tubes, my idea is with a 2x4 foot 5" deep tote ( under bed tote)....still the same concept? well I guess it kinda is
