It depends on plant genetics somewhat, some plants like to be bushy and squatty, some are tall and lanky. Each would require their own special technique of adjusting plant growth.

What kind of nutrients are you using? I've heard some people that use organic nutrients don't flush at all, but one week is sufficient for a flush time. As far as harvesting, make sure to check the trichromes rather than the hairs, as that is what will tell you your peak THC/CBN levels.
