When using a res how to FEED with every other watering??

Watering is less frequent with a hempy. When you finish a watering there is always 2" of water in the bottom of the bucket. And it's hard to overwater using buckets. I don't think that there would be any advantage in growth rate between the 2. It's just the hempy bucket is so simple. I've been...

    My plant went hermi

Hermi's are mainly dependent on their genetics. Some strains and phenotypes are just plain and simple hermi prone, others seem to be able to handle any kind of stress. Case and Point I've been trying to hermi a Maui Wowie for the past 4 wks, (started @ 2wk 12/12) I completely flipped its light...

    is this heat stress?

Okay here's my best guess. I'm not exactly sure water a filter bucket is, but I'm assuming it is like a britta or other tap filter that removes all heavy metals, minerals, and chlorine. And in most standard gardening soils there is no or little added lime, so I think you have a Ca deficiency...

    is this heat stress?

With heat stress, you'll get droop, and brownish edge burn. I'm leaning towards a nute uptake issue. What soil are you in? Are you feeding and what? What are you using for H2O? Using any CalMag?

    My plant went hermi

Smoked many a minor hermi event. Where do you think bag seed comes from in sensi material.

    My plant went hermi

One more thing you will need at least 4 full wks of growth after pollination to get viable seeds.

    My plant went hermi

Are there any other girls in the room?? If so and you have fans running then you'll get seeds on them also if you seen seed forming on the SSH. You can cut the nads off if you like, but leave the seeded buds, they won't X contaminate anything else, the seeds will be fem (with a hermi tendency...

    Foxtailing?

I grew some trainwreck awhile back and it built the same sort of nubs, and it smoked just fine nubs and all. Here's a shot of a small trimmed bud. (its more work to trim around that's for sure)

    indor and outdoor

If you are growin' an auto then you want to be in 12/12 as soon as she shows even sooner. Pick the best 12 hrs of daylight and then bring in and place in total darkness for 12, darkness is more important than light when flowering. Sunlight is much better than cfl, if that was your question

2 FANS on 1 WYE DUCT, what happens?

Each 8" round is 50 sq inches, the 12" is 113 sq inches. You should have no pressure build up problems. Use rigid pipe with minimal turns from the "Y" out for best results.

Do I Really Need a Clone Machine?

I plan on making a bubble cloner in the near future just to try and see, but I've always started clones in dirt (FFOF) in clear 12 oz cups. I like to see the roots fill up the cup, use a dome for the 1st wk, then open, by 14 days the cups are full of roots and need transplant..... and so the veg...

    grow tent advice on lighting

Hey sorry for creating such a stir over a bulb, and its a shame its unavailable in the UK. Good thing I didn't mention my dirt cheap growing method, you'd never get all the shit off the walls. (I spend < $2/plant from clone/seed to harvest) Best of luck with your new grow set-up

    grow tent advice on lighting

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. I've run mh, hps, & cmh (all in the 400w range) and spent over a yr & a half with a 350w led, and here's what I've seen. HPS is the leader in penetration down into the plant with the light having more energy say 3' away from the source. It has a higher...

    grow tent advice on lighting

Use CMH bulbs in the 400's they run cooler and have a much better light spectrum than any hps. http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmed18.htm I run 2 - 400's in a single large, open, un-vented hood and can keep it right on top of the canopy (6 to 8 inches)

    too F'ing hotttt!!!! I never ask questions......but

So you have a tent in a sealed room. What you need to do is bring in and exhaust to somewhere other than the sealed room. Your exhaust fan is a must, and I'd get the size that matches the openings in your tent. If you have a 6" opening then get a 6" fan, then you won't have to deal with any...

    $1200 Budget, Stealth/Grow Cab.

Using a prefab cab would make stealth easier for you, unless your a good carpenter. You'll have to do some work on the cab to attain a light tight condition, weather strip latches or locks, etc. A passive intake for ventilation is fine in a small cab. A carbon filter is a must for stealth. With...

    Idea for my grow room

Your concept is really good. Your veg side will work well with small ventilation. When building your frame (as mentioned by Coho) install diagonal braces, or better yet put your reflective foam on the inside of the 2x2 frame, and sheet the outside in 1/4" ply (or thicker). On your flower side...

    Anybody try cmh lamps?

CMH is the bulb. it would be great if they made a 600w. I've used HPS and LED for flowering, last Nov I started using CMH. Best light I've used. All 3 setups I've run aprox 800w on a 4x4 space. (I've got a large hood 2'x2' and I run 2 - 400w. Compared to the HPS (good horticulture grade...

Fan Performance Comparison Chart: 6" and 8" - Various Manufactures

Agreed!!! I ran a 4" Vortex for 1 1/2 yrs and built a new rm and have run a 6" Can HO for over 2yrs now both were drawing thru a carbon filter. Both were very quite and ran 24/7. I have a fan tech for intake in my current rm runs only late spring to mid fall, wish I'd spent the extra for another...
