    ventilation help?

They would be best used as exhaust. Best location is as close to the top as you can get, to pull off the warmest air. You'll also need an intake air opening, and its best location is as low as possible and on the opposite side of the box, to maximize the air flow across your plants.

Can you daisy chain brooder lights together?

They don't make a horz model. Brooder lamps are different from a standard clamp shop light. Shop lights usually have plastic sockets and are rated for 100w or less bulb. The brooders have ceramic sockets and are rated for a 250w heat lamp. With a set of good metal shears you could cut out one...

    2ft x 5ft x 5ft - Requirements

A basic rule of thumb, is 50W/sf. With a cabinet with that much head room I'l like to go hid (2 - 150 or 250w), but there will be a greater heat issue. A 4' - 4 or 6 bulb T5 fixture would be a good choice. You will get much better light coverage with a tube fixture over a cfl. Light is the...

    01mercs first ever journal

You need ventilation. The fan you have connected to your filter is just a duct booster fan, you need a real inline fan to pull some air though your tent. With good ventilation a T5 shouldn't be more than 5 degrees F higher than the area you are drawing air from.

Couldn't resist. Hempy tomato from last summer. It out produced any of the other T plants I had in the garden. The pepper to the left ended up in a bucket soon after this also.

Many thanks for the positive comment, but hell they grow themselves. I drop in the whole plant and soil just like any soil transplant except that I fill the rest of the bucket with perlite. I do cap the last couple of inches around the core with soil. I veg in soil due to the small veg box I...

There is no simpler or easy way to grow than a hempy. Been running buckets for a yr and a 1/2 now.Unless you use osmocote for feeding. Then it becomes almost idiot proof. Add the OC when building the bucket and then just water with properly ph'ed water. I've also gone to a modified hempy. I like...

Grow room Supplies across Can/US Borders?

My advise is to go to your local shop with your full list of equipment, with an internet price, and ask them how close they could get to the price. With a big purchase they will come off the shelf price real quick. 2yr ago I did this when I built my rm, & the local shop damn near matched the...

Keeping your Mother, Norman Bates style!!

I believe that mothers are best grown in soil. Now what are is your space availability? Large grow set-ups grow large mothers, keep re-potting larger, and cut good shoots off the branches. I've seen sativa mothers 7' tall. If your head room or space is limited you need a different approach...

    HELP! Drying & Curing 1 0 1

Basic rules: Dry until buds are crispy on the outside & the stems bend but don't break. They can be hung or placed on a screen (if you don't mind a flat side to your buds). Small nugs dry faster than big kola's. Jar.... As stated above full but not packed. Burp and this depends on the...

Is My LED Bleaching/Killing My Plants??? Pictures

What Alex281 wanted to know is what the ph of the water you are using to water with. 6.5 to 7.0 will work fine. FFOF is great soil, but if you are watering with water in the 5.5 and lower or 7.8 or higher, it will ruin the soil and the plant. You should be feeding these plants by now, they look...

How to properly use a humidity dome?

The purpose of the dome is to create hi humidity. This is necessary prior to a clone taking root, because the only way a clone can get moisture is through its leaves. Once rooted you want to force the issue and make the roots do the work. I always see some signs of wilting on cuttings some worse...

Just wanted to post my BHO and method

YES.... If you scrap it all together as soon as most of the tane has evaporated. Any thick layer of a very low viscous oil will entrap a gaseous substance. Now consider leaving the oil in a thin layer and evaping at cool rm temp for days. How many more terpenoids could be retained?? I'll stop...

Just wanted to post my BHO and method

n-butane will always boil at 31 F at atmospheric pressure. If you increase the pressure at which it is contained the boiling point will raise. You can have trapped butane in oil but if above its boiling point it will be in a gaseous state. TEMPERATURE THC OIL BOILS At what temperature does...
