hullo, Out of my 9 plants growing indoors 2 or 3 have bottom leaves, the first that grew that are yellow or turning yellow. I read on here that lack of N can cause that, but the plants were only planted 2 or 3 weeks ago and my compost should be good for at least a month. what else could it be...

Why bother? If you want a lot of blue for vegging, buy a Sylvania Grolux HPS bulb. They cost a bit more than a normal HPS bulb, but they have been tweked to give out more blue. And by crikey they are bright, but the only last a grow or 2.

I just got my 400w lights, with 2 wire coathangers and an ironing board, Iam up an running! woo-hoo sorry about the odd banding in the pic, the lights really upset my camera what I want to know is are the plants an okay distance from the lamp?

why are some leaves 'errect' and some 'flaccid'? look the furthest away bigish plant has leaves that are sticking up at a jaunty angle. but the other 2 have droopy leaves. whats all that about? thanks
