The soil is the ocean brand fox farm. The light is about a foot and a half away from the 150w. It's about 77 degrees which is good for the carbonated water.

Powdery mildew? is it possible this is just pollen...perhaps some are males/Hermys. I had a plant turn male and noticed yellow powder I assumed it was some type of mildew but it became obvious it was just pollen.

If you're worried about other minerals in the seltzer water just get a sodastream and make your own carbonated water..

Since my last post I also added a second "100w" equivalent (2700k) CFL for the two plants. Needing some CO2 for them though- I was originally going to make up a DIY co2 but I have found something better :)

The cool tube is good! How is space/ducting in the tent? Does it reduce the temp significantly? 400w in a 2x2' :-?

Don't know :p I'm just using seeds I found in a bag of high grade. They were plump hard seeds, germinated pretty quickly.
