That would be fun to watch, like dominoes falling down. Basically, it's just another container and a siphon hose from one to the other. I'm thinking of trying this with my 2 extra res containers. I'll have to drill holes in them to slide the siphon tubes through. And I'll have to think of...

Today the tds really dropped in both reses. Lusinda's went from about 900 ppm to ~750 ppm. The little girls' went from ~600 ppm to ~450 ppm. This was measured after topping up with RO water. Together they drank almost a gallon. They really chowed down the nutes in one day. I think it was...

Here’s how I plan to leave my ladies on their own when I go on a 4-day vacation later this year. I think that the main issue will be keeping the res water topped up. My big plant already sucks up at least a half gallon of water a day. And that raises the tds and throws the pH out of whack...

Gave all 3 ladies fresh nutes today. Gave Lady Topsalot here about 900 ppm... … and her 2 little sisters about 600 ppm.

BEGIN FLOWERING Time to switch the lighting schedule from 18/6 to 12/12, to begin forcing all 3 plants to flower. Today I started to flush the roots with water & Final Phase. Root ball is getting bigger. Lookin good! Tomorrow I’ll dump the flush water & replace with pure water + flowering...

Hey Mr Dawg, do you think it's alright to lower the light panel over Lusinda to about 18" above her now?

Thanks, Maestro... It took a lot of work to give her that hairdo. :bigjoint:

Hey GB, how's that screen filling in? I bet your White Widow x Big Bud plants are almost ready to flip to 12/12. I'm flipping my plants this weekend. Lusinda's sproutday was May 16 and I got her branches spread out across the depth of my closet (2 feet), so I think it's time for her... Good...

It’s been over 2 months since Lusinda came into this world as a popped seed in a paper towel. May 16 was her birthday. I think it’s time for my little girls to flower into maturity……. i.e., it’s time to flip to 12/12. ➥ Tomorrow & Saturday I’ll change the water and give them nutes for...

greatbranch's heinz 57 lighting / yield increase/mainlining trial (strawberry cough)

Thanks for the info, GB. I thought that was what it looked like you did there. I know that my first grow with LED created really dense foliage, so that the stuff in the middle suffered. And the plants in my current grow are heading there too. Some of the leaves are just huge, especially on...

I really like the way that NLxSkunk has 4 main colas. Did you just top it twice to get that? But you didn't have to cut off any smaller tops? I seem to have to do a lot of defoliation because of all the little tops that develop inside the bush. Some of them don't get much light in there and...

Sounds like you can keep them going 24/7... as long as the water's oxygenated using the air pump & air stone. If you ever need a timer, an appliance timer that you can set for 15-minute intervals is probably the cheapest. I got one for about $6 for my twin bucket.

I can't remember, how does this DWC system deliver res water to the upper roots? Does it use sprayers?

Here are some of the leaves that looked sickly that I was talking about. I left these ones to see if they might get better: They had been deep inside the plant where they weren’t getting any light. I pruned off most of the other branches like this. ——————————————————— I also added a 19...

    Dave's Dual Area 51 Grow

You might not remember this, but in my last grow I had a lot of thick foliage on the outside and lots of underdeveloped, light green branches & leaves inside the bush. That's why I'm defoliating a lot and stretching out the branches to open it up to the light.

Sounds like it's going great. I always like to flush overnight before a water change to get the crud out. Then they seem so hungry for nutes afterward... I think it's good for them. Easy on the nute increase... I'm sure you know that already though.

    Dave's Dual Area 51 Grow

Gave Lusinda a haircut today. Ain’t she pretty? There were a lot of inner branches and leaves that didn’t look too good, probably from a lack of light, so I cut them out. Also some big fan leaves that weren’t getting much light anymore. Tied down some branches, too, to try to make an...

My Lusinda would look a lot like them if I hadn't tied down her branches, maybe just a bit shorter. Sorry that I don't have any useful SCROG experience. My try at it last time didn't do my poor plant any good. Your plants are certainly bushy with big leaves. I wonder if LED lighting promotes...

Mom & girls (adopted, no relation) today: Lusinda’s in need of a haircut. Gotta tie down some branches, too. ——————— The girls are getting beefy: I might need another fan to blow at them because Lusinda’s blocking the wind.
