    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

You can never go by photos, because the camera adjusts its exposure to the brightness of the lamps. I've seen photos of other LED panels in grow rooms that looked a hell of a lot dimmer. But it was probably just the camera.

I like that cart! Now I know what you've been working on lately... It looks great! You can do a lot with some PVC and a cordless drill. :hump: I see you got carpeting in the room. Not easy for wheelchairs or caster wheels to roll over. My house has 100% tile flooring, which is nice & cool...

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

The light is focused into beams pointing down at the plants, kind of like a flashlight. That's why they don't look so bright from the side.

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

My second Area 51 light panel arrived today: It’s the RW-150 model, the one with 2 sets of LEDs, red and white. So I hung it up in my closet: These 2 panels fit very nicely in my 2’x6’ closet. The old SGS-160 is now over the seedlings with only the white LEDs turned on. And the new...

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

Topped Teeny again in 2 places. It's hard to believe that those 2 branches were just little pricks only 5 days ago. (The water was from the watering ring. Had to pile up some Perlite against it to stop it from spraying all over.)

That's one gorgeous photo... especially at full size. Pretty plant!

That does help. It tells me not to worry about it! :bigjoint: Thanks, brother Dawg.

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

It's usually not this hard for me to sprout seeds. Bad luck this time I guess, plus it didn't help that I broke a sprout. The Rockwool fiasco was another thing I needed to learn about. If something can go wrong, I usually find out how. :wall:

That's got to be the least appealing avatar that I've seen so far. Dear old mom needs a shave. :o

The Dawgs 600 Watt SGS-160 Grow

Hey Mr Dawg, I got a question for you. I put my Rapid Rooters in a tray with about 1/4" of water in the bottom. Is that too much water? I noticed that those things are really absorbent, so they get soaked pretty easily. I just don't want to drown my seeds. :o

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

Teeny’s growing like a monster now! And her node spacing is nice and tight. The leaves in the middle really grew fast in the last 4 days: Those tiny leaves where I topped her are really big already. I’ve been following The Dawg’s advice on using the Area 51. It’s 35” above the top of...

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

I just dropped 3 old seeds I've been holding onto for 3 years, directly into the Rapid Rooters. Details later...

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

I guess the downside to sprouting the seeds before planting them is that the root can get too long to fit into the Rapid Rooter. And it's easy to break a fragile little sprout while trying to stuff it into something. So I hope your experiment works. :fire:

They all look good to me! Do you have a separate tent for flowering, one for vegging and one for your mother plant? Looking forward to seeing Lafonda in her bubble bath. :hump:

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

Good idea... You can be the Guinnea pig and I'll watch! lol I usually soak for roughly 8 hours in a glass of water, after scratching the shell slightly with sand paper. (Got the idea from Cervantes' book.) Then I put them between paper towels on a dinner plate with a heat mat behind it...

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

Both seeds popped, so I put them in Rapid Rooters. One of them actually grew completely out of its shell and sent down a tap root about 2” through the paper towels. That’s a vigorous grower! The other seed, which I put in the paper towel a day after the first one, cracked open, but had only...

Ignore that last link to the eBay listing... I had to change it to a fixed price because of a stupid eBay rule that the "Buy it Now" option disappears when someone bids 99¢! So now it's a fixed price of $525 with an option to "Make an Offer". (Just between you & me, I'll definitely take...

I wish! :hump: But I am very impressed seeing all those buds. It was making me dizzy. :eyesmoke: Sorry that your organic experiment didn't yield as much as you're used to, bro. You never know for sure until you try, though, right?

    Dave's Area 51/Inda-gro combination grow

I have a backup generator that runs on gasoline that's 3000 watts. That would power my grow room plus refrigerator with more watts to spare. But if I kept it running outside at night, my neighbors would get pissed because it's pretty loud. I think that brother Dawg makes a good point. I'm...
