    Becaused you asked

At least you now have a veg and flowering box! :hump: One thing HID lights have on CFL's is light penetration. HID will penetrate far more than a CFL would.

    hows she/he looking

I know with my soil it can take up to 5-6 days to dry out if I really water it heavy. Every soil is different. Water when the moisture meter says it is dry, and it doesn't move much.

    hows she/he looking

Looks severly overwatered. How is the drainage in the soil? Water once the soil has completely dried out.

    longtime smoker, first time grower

Yes, CFLs and floros grow short, bushy plants with tight internode spacing. The shorter and tighter the internodes, the better. This is normal. They will begin to stretch once induced to 12/12 for flowering. I would go ahead and begin 18/6 light cycle.

    Seed question

Get a film canister. Fill it with rice and put the seeds in there with the rice. Throw it in the freezer. The rice keeps the moisture out like rice in a salt shaker! It will last for years.

    quetion on ph

I'm sure there is, but I would not reccommend it. Let me ask you a question: Would you water your plants with pool water?

    i have a lighting quetion

Yes, daylight bulbs give off more of the blue spectrum which is better for vegetative growth. Keep them close to your plants (1-2"), but not too close that it burns them. Stick your hand inbetween the bulb and plant, if it is hot, move it up a little.

    Uh oh... help!

I am using MG Organic potting as well. I didn't use perlite in the beginning and found out real soon it was a problem. Mix in a good amount of perlite into the soil. I did around 30-40% perlite. I haven't had any other problems with the soil, other than lack of nutes after around 28 days...

    Clones then flowering?

General rule of thumb is 1FT of height = 1 Gallon pot, 2FT of height = 2 Gallon pot. You get the idea. These are MINIMUMS, so you can of course have bigger pots if you like!

UPDATE: Day 31/Day 5 Flower. Got some Fox Farm Tiger Bloom for flowering nutes. Just watered them 2 gallons with 1 Tsp. total (1/2tsp/gallon) of Tiger Bloom. I did 1/4 of the recommended 2 Tsp/Gallon strength. This should help out my nutrient deficiency. Will have pics in a few days, waiting to...
