So my seedling popped last week, erupted just fine. Now its been just chillin' and not opening. No shell is stuck on it or anything. Still is green, checked the roots, nice color and lots of growth... Any idea whats up? The cotyledons must open!!!

It has perlite. I turned off two bulbs and shes back to normal. It was heat.

I have no clue what it is. Its my friends "special blend" hes been using it for years. And there is perlite. It's the best soil I ever used thus far, really rapid growth, I dont know what this stuff is but its quite good.

Thanks for the replies, I unscrewed one and wont water it for a while. You dont think this is terminal do you?

It just got a misting, it was dry thats why it looks wet.

My plant is surrounded by 2 23 watt cfls on each side and above. I was thinking the problem might be heat stress so I moved the bulbs 3 inches away and upped the fan setting. Or I was also thinking it could be that the leaves are facing each light on each side... Thoughts? Pics

Late day 4: SO it isnt exactly day 5 but I thought Id show more. Slight growth of the leaves. I can see another leave starting to form.

What exactly is wrong with my seedling? The reason it looks weird is because the seed shell was stuck to it like a tinfoil hat to a retard. It fell off and it looked a tad odd. And I've had big bang before from a bud of mine, it was... amazing. Highly potent. One of the best smokes I've smoked...

Day 4: Some more growth, got a little bit taller and the leaves grew a bit. Watered her, then a few hours later she began "praying". Cotys starting to die it seems. Will be doing a 12/12 grow along this one once my other seedling is fully erect, this shall be interesting, will post as well.

First ever grow. Started out with miracle grow soil. Removed all those pesky beads. Using superthrive and will use nutes eventually. Will transplant to FFOF after sometime. Shell got stuck to seedling, this is why it looks a bit weird. Growing with 30 15 2700 15 6500 CFLS. Day 2
