UPDATE: The leaves broke away from the mental challenged cotys and my plant seems to be growing very well. Its either develoiping its second or third set of leaves its hard to tell. I attached two pics, is the stem supposed to be a little red like that in the beg?

So, I don't have access to a hydro shop so I bought miracle grow potting soil, from what I read the soil is terrible because of the time release ferts. So what I did was took a strainer and took out all those little balls. Will this soil be okay now? And I added perlite.

Those are some fine looking herbs. Its good to know I didn't mess up on the soil part. Hopefully my plant will look that good, that is if my plant will survive lol.

Thanks for the advice and criticism, I've already looked up damping off disease, but I thought since they way I had the light at the side, instead of the top because the chain wasn't long enough that's why the plant bent towards the light. Again, thank you.

Thanks bud! Will do! Question, when I spray the soil, about 6 hours later the dirt is bone dry, I stick my pinky down as well and it is dry. How comes the soil drys so quickly? the temp is 85.. is this too high?
