    Ventilation Help!!

I don't see an exhaust in your pictures. You need an intake and an exhaust. The exhaust can be passive if you have a fan exhausting the air. I don't think that a tube with a big bend in it is going to give you much air. And if it is flush with the ground, isn't stuff going to fall in it?

    switching to nighttime lighting

I just had the electricity company install a "time of use" meter so I can save $$ on electricity between 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. So now I have to switch from a 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. flowering schedule to 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. They put the meter in at 12:45 p.m. today, so what I did is turn off all the lights...

    exhaust & intake fans

This is very helpful, thanks. One last question: how many floors or feet away from the roof is your tent?

    exhaust & intake fans

So the 8" fan exhausts all the way to the roof? Do you use an 8" to pull air from the roof too? You pull the air from outside, not from the attic, right? I didn't think about the air being hot above the roof.

    exhaust & intake fans

I'm building a new grow space in the basement 6 x7 feet. I am planning to pull air in from the roof and exhaust to the roof too through what used to be the chimney space. The house is one story above the basement with 6' attic space, so I'm looking at about 15 to 18 feet from the basement. I...

Quiet. The Neighbors Can Hear You (Sound Control Thread)

Just wood. The idea is to slow down and disperse the air so it doesn't go shooting out at high speed through the narrow duct.

Quiet. The Neighbors Can Hear You (Sound Control Thread)

The solution to getting rid of the loud whooshing noise of the air being pushed outside is a plenum or muffler. Basically it is a box or container that you place in the duct before the air passes out. You can build it out of anything. The box in the first pic is for the exhaust. It was built out...

Need help with ventilation for stuffy room

Setup is an 9x9 foot room, 4 600w aircooled lights, 32 plants. A 6" inline fan is pulling air through the lights to the outside and on the other end a 6" inline fan is pushing air through the lights to the other fan and outside. Then I have an exhaust with a carbon scrubber with a 6" inline fan...

    dunk new clones?

I just bought some clones from a local Oakland club. Last time I bought clones there they turned out to have thrips, and eventually they developed some powdery mildew. Would it be a good or bad idea to dunk the clones in the thrips and/or powdery mildew stuff (Monterey Garden spray, Serenade)...

    nute burn? P deficiency???

I've studied all the pictures and can't figure out if this is nute burn, phosphorus deficiency, or something else. Plants are in soil, 3rd week of flowering, under 600 hps, about 1.5 feet tall, fertilizing with PureBlend Pro every other watering in the amount suggested for mature plants. The...

    250w or 400w for vegging?

What would be the best light for a 4.5 by 2.5 vegging space for about 16-18 plants growing to a maximum of 12 inches? A 250 or a 400? Something else? I want to economize on electricity costs but get rapid growth too.

    left lights on during flowering

No reason to be impressed. I have a timer, but I turned the lights off temporarily and then didn't reset it properly.

    left lights on during flowering

I'm 6 days into flowering and messed up by leaving the lights on all night. I turned them off 7 hours after they should have gone off. What should I do now? What will happen to the plants?
