I don't see an exhaust in your pictures. You need an intake and an exhaust. The exhaust can be passive if you have a fan exhausting the air. I don't think that a tube with a big bend in it is going to give you much air. And if it is flush with the ground, isn't stuff going to fall in it?

So the 8" fan exhausts all the way to the roof? Do you use an 8" to pull air from the roof too? You pull the air from outside, not from the attic, right? I didn't think about the air being hot above the roof.
