Neem seed meal into the dirt will help repel them I believe. That shit gets into the plant and they dont want to eat it. At this point I would lean towards things like that, maybe insect fras, alphalfa or kelp to help boost their immune system.
Are you not using things like neem seed meal? Also if you are that concerned you can use a piece of aloe and rub it over anything that you cut and supposedly it will heal faster.
Always trim your plants... Any time I have skimped on trimming its affected my yield and quality. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably one of those cooky 2 harvest nuts. "Dude I can harvest all that larf here in a another month its going to be almost 2 ounces!" Thats such a bullshit way...
I have the same thing going on. My guess would also be night temps. Another thing could be light spectrum. They could possibly have that color from getting more colors of light? Thats just pure speculation tho...
Get some lady bugs. They eat the fuck out of them. Aphids are rampant outside so its not hard to get them. I have a few on my outdoor but nothing thats effecting my plants or anything. I let some lady bugs go about 2 months ago and they are still chillin out there eating those fuckers.
Yeah you dont want to breath that shit or get it on your skin it will burn... I try to cut everything outside so I dont have to clean it up :P Dont forget tho we are made of chemicals and so are plants. I wouldnt worry, it probably doesnt cause cancer unless your in Cali.
