As for your HM meter, a lot of companies claim to be precalibrated but I think a lot of users will agree you will have to calibrate it yourself with solution...

Questions about germing.. After the seeds sprout (using the wet paper towel method) I plan on putting them in rockwool cubes. Roseman said these cubes should be kept in the dark (with high temps and lots of humidity?) and CFL lights should be used after the plant pushes out of the rockwool...

I'm a bit confused. Are TDS and PPM meters the same thing. In addition, in the description for the TDS meter you posted, it says it is 'factory calibrated'. Does this mean I do not have to buy buffer solution like for pH meters?
