Hi Pew.
100% perlite is good when your using large pots like you are. I do like a blend in my smaller 2 liter hempys because it helps my root zone.
White Rhino- Yummy
It all sounds good and I am subbed to watch your Hempy Grow.
The drip system I made for my 2 liter hempy SOG is of the kind you describe.
Checkout page 6 and 7 of this thread: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/314770-white-poison-2-liter-hempy.html
I have a 20 gal trash can rez that I fill up with fresh nutes. Inside there I have an airstone...
Its best to start them in cups of soil. And protect them from bugs by keeping them in a box or tub. You can also spray them with sevin, a bug repellent.
When they are a few inches tall and can stand up on their own go ahead and plant them in the ground.
Ive made a mini bubble cloner out of a two liter before. I just put an airstone in it and covered the top with some wax paper. Then held it in place with a rubber band.
This will work, it might take up to 3 weeks for roots. But I always submerge my stems in the water. I do the same thing...
I defoliate the fans from my hempy sog on day 21 and do a second stripping on day 45 of any leaf that is blocking budsites.
I find that this is an excellent canopy management technique that consistently yields me more then lolly popping my clones or doing no trimming.
With the right knowledge and a shovel, soil is free.
I dig up native soil and amend it with the organic premix of my choice. Mix it on a tarp and put that back in the hole for later planting.
With Liquid fertilizers you have to feed twice a week with water. Any good guerrilla grower knows that is a threat to security and only backyard lawnchair growers use liquids outside.
Dry organic amendments are the best dry fertilizer and they feed the plant naturally all summer long...
I hand watered my hempy sog grow for about a year before I setup my automatic drip irrigation system for it.
Hempy is the best Hydroponics if you do not want to use electricity. You only have to water every 2 days with two liter hempys when they are full size. Less when they are small...
If you dont want to control your humidity with a humidifier and you dont want to use a dome and you dont want to spray the clones 4 times a day when its hot then put them in a bubble cloner.
Submerge the stem in a few inches of water with air bubbles.
If you use a bubble cloner you can...
Little red buds like Lady bugs ? because if so those are beneficial. Do not kill them. They will eat bad stuff off your leaf like spider mites.
Be more specific on what kind of bug is on your plants.
Miracle grow does not contain all the trace elements necessary for vigorous flowering. And its much more work then Organic Fertilization.
You can either choose to fertilize twice a year with organics or twice a week with a chemical based water soluble fertilizer.
You got the right idea but the wrong fertilizer.
What you want is Organic Amendments mixed into the soil before you plant in the ground. Organics is time released. So when you incorporate it with the soil at the start of the season it feeds over the next couple of months slowly. It does...
I grow in the bush on a deer path next to a rabbit burrow. A fence is necessary to keep them off the plants or yield will suffer over 50% losses for the year.
Nothing else worked.
I used to have problems with Botrytis - aka Budrot
But I switched strains and have not seen it since.
The indica I used to grow before I got my sativa hybrid would have some budrot at every harvest.
Yea last year I setup a 100 foot roll of steel four foot fence. I dug four holes for the wood corner posts and attached the wire fence to the wood post with a staple gun. Then I added a few plastic posts on the side for support.
It did a great job keeping the rabbits and deer out of my...
I control height by growing in buckets on drip irrigation and only growing SOG clones 7 inches tall. I have a sativa heavy strain that triples when you put it into flower.
Do not listen to the deniers. They have no skill.
Stripping fans in my grow upped my yield by 4 ounces.
Its all about Canopy Management. Strip fans on day 21 and 45 of flower. Only remove large fans that have a stem and any leaf that blocks lower branching budsites.
