How old should the plants be when I start the 12/12 cycle in order to get the highest yield for the shortest amount of time? What I mean is I obviously don't want to be in veg for 2-3 months but don't want to flower at only about 1 month growth and get small yields. Still confusing? Maybe I...

I put them about 6" over the top now, thanks guys. Also, my new blueberry sprouts are starting off a very yellow/light light green color and my other ones are dark green.

BUMP P.S. Checked this AM, and they have turned light green/yellow, still very different from anything I've had in the past.

I usually grow my plants with the 38w flouro's above the plants about 8" - "12 and decided to try to lowering them to about 4" to 6" and since they give off no heat, does this even matter?

This happened to me a long time ago. Just get better lights and lower them. A lot of times the root system has already rotted off, so you may just need to start over. P.S. you should be getting your 2nd set of leaves (4 leaves) by around 6-7 days.

Would a second ventilation fan used for exhaust help? I'm putting far too many 6" holes in my wall though lol

To be honest, just a dark brown is very good. Too light means too mature and will probably crush easy and form weak or no plants at all. Too dark means rotten or damp, and will also have less a chance of germinating. Brown for the win.

Haha funny because I actually have 4 bagseed plants at 2 weeks thriving under flourescents, and have 4 blueberrys sprouted. So I guess if something goes wrong with bagseed, I will know 2 weeks ahead of time to alter the environment for my blueberry.

Just got my first HID, an 400w HPS and after setuping up my grow room with mylar and ventilation (2 fans drawig air in and hour through dryer ducts), I let the baby run. Checked on it 30 mins later and the temp was just peaking at 85 degrees. Is this too high and how else could I get the temp...

Man I wasn't tryin to be an ass, just saying basically it's a waste of time because your plants are never as healthy as they should be and you get dismal returns compared to what you should get. I do take back my statement when I said you had to get an HID - CFL's will do, but any less than that...
