    Waiting, and Wondering, and Wishin

I hate to bump my own thread, but I swear it was never on the list of 'new posts', and it hasn't gotten any views, so.... bump.

    My first grow

So, yeah, still been horrible about posting on my journal, but my grow is still going... on and on and on it seems. :) Kinda' frustrating not knowing how long my flowering is going to last... that'll be a good thing about using known seeds next time. Anyway, 2 weeks ago I started flushing with...

    Waiting, and Wondering, and Wishin

So, I'm on my first grow. My journal is here if you wanna check it out: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/121144-my-first-grow.html It's bag seed, I assumed it was an indica, but 9 weeks into flowering now, all my trichs are clear. I'm hoping that means it's going to be some super potent...

    What causes airy dry bud?

Many people claim that feeding molasses at the end, especially if you're flushing other nutes, will give you denser buds. Haven't tried it myself, but am planning on it next grow.

water bongs is harmless or not?

Thanks, Landragon, +rep to you. I didn't feel like you were picking on me. I'm always up for a logical debate without any mudslinging, and it's a rare thing to find. I'll definitely think differently about smoking out of my bong now(not that I'm gonna stop). I'd like to see info on the study...

water bongs is harmless or not?

I agree. I prefer a pipe or a bong for taste and health, but joints have their appeal. They're less conspicuous, and a little more social. If you're having a get-together it can be fun to have several people kick in a nug and roll a fat blunt.

water bongs is harmless or not?

Wasn't arguing with you, just citing my own personal experience. When I wanna get really high I usually make a gravity bong with a 2 liter soda bottle and a garbage can. I've had friends get so high so fast they puked doing this. My preference for 'casual' smoking though is a bong. I keep...

water bongs is harmless or not?

That's what I've heard too. I am a heavy smoker, and I've only hit a vaporizer a few times, but it knocked my socks off every time. Part of that could be because it's real easy to burn a whole bowl in one hit.

water bongs is harmless or not?

THC isn't water soluble... I don't know how you would get less. I've also never heard that a bong causes more tar. I don't really know how that would be possible. It does cool the smoke, which reduces the damage to your lungs, especially if you put ice in it, plus it's just down-right...

    Cannabutter alternatives

So, it's christmas, and absolutely everything is closed. My friend and I were going to make brownies, but my roommate ate my entire box of butter sometime in the last couple of days(I have no idea how). Is there anything I can use as an alternative? Will margarine work? Will it bind with...

5 weeks in do i need to prune?

I think he's just amazed that that system is working. The floating-foam form of hydro isn't really weed-friendly. It's usually used for things like lettuce and kale. It's generally accepted that marijuana needs more oxygen to the roots. This is often the limiting growth factor in hydro...

    Help. Is this Nitrogen Deficiency?

Actually, from some of what I've read, people continue on the veg nutes for the first 2 weeks of flower. Some people also do 24-48 hours of darkness before switching to 12/12. I think growing weed isn't an exact science. People have a million different ways that seem to work and they'll all...

    Help. Is this Nitrogen Deficiency?

That sounds similar to what I did... I had my plant going, then ordered a 400w hps. By the it arrived, my plant was over a 1' tall, which was taller than I had intended. In the first 3 weeks of flowering, my plant grew to 4', and I ran out of room, had to completely redo my grow area... it was...

    Help. Is this Nitrogen Deficiency?

You can start flowering at any time. Some people start the 12/12 from seed or clone. I also read somewhere about a plant that was kept alive for 15 years before it was flowered. It's just a matter of how long you're willing to wait and how big you want the plant to get. I'd just base it on...

    Help. Is this Nitrogen Deficiency?

I probably would. I'm still on my first grow though, and mine's not an autoflowering strain so you might want some more expert info. Remember it's going to double or triple in size the first few weeks of flowering.

    Help. Is this Nitrogen Deficiency?

Is it possible it's an auto-flowering strain? I think that at 2 months it may be getting ready to flower, in which case it's perfectly normal for the leaves to start turning yellow and falling off, starting with the bottom leaves.

    My first grow

This is week 5 of flowering. I managed to get a couple pics before the light warmed up and blinded the camera(and me). The top cola is huge. I dunno if it's normally supposed to look like that, or if it's because I DIB(Damn I Burn)ed it, but it branches into a whole bunch of buds at the top...

can anyone help me w/ a temperature ?

Seeds survive the winter in the wild, and people store them in the freezer. As long as they hadn't already started to sprout, I'm pretty sure they can handle some extreme temps. I would think that even if they had started before the cold hit them, they'd be fine, just slowed down... as long as...

    My first grow

What a brilliant system! I used it, and it told me I'm going to produce 1/4 pound, 19 oz, 2 grams, 1.3 microtons and 1.73 newton/m^2. I'm so excited! though I'm not sure if that's a British microton, or a US microton... so your system needs a little clarification in that area. I also used it...

    My first grow

So, I'm fairly certain that the burn I was seeing was heat stress. The closet gets up to 90F sometimes, which I know is a wee bit high. I raised the light to get it further away from the plant, and am channeling air into the closet from my open window. I still need to work on the air...
