TTT, just looking for any comments. Anyone else ever tried this? I'm just finding this totally new because it's hard to find any info on the net about how to get an outdoor room heated efficiently. I lucked into a decent set up that worked but I imagine it could be hell.

How large is the room? One thing I know is great it Dynamat, they sell it for cars. Of course you can buy a much cheaper imitation product. You just peel off the wrapping and put it on the walls. It completely drowns out all sound. It's ideal for a cabinet grow etc.

If you can go with MH + HPS lighting for the entire grow that would be best. You want to try and get the fullest usable spectrum possible, which neither can produce on it's own.

Are you looking to do a SOG or SCROG? What size plants do you want, bunch of sativas or indica? What's the ceiling height? What are the conditions for ventilation? Sorry to answer a question with a question but I'm trying to help!

Horizontal for sure... mount the hood over the top of it just like the grow lights. If you can get your hands on a jumbo CFL, the hood makes a large difference, and almost twice the lumens will reach you plants. I'd also suggest hanging some cfl's around the sides of your plants as they grow...

Also, I've done the exact same program for my current Jack Herer grow with a 400 +150 HPS, and previously with a 600. The 550 seems to be further along at this stage a branched out to the sides more. Significant enough that it's a visibly larger plant.

Thanks! Tonight it hit -17 and we had a stiff breeze... so I went outside and into the shed in a panic thinking the worst... but it turned out to be just right! Looks like the plastic wrapping paid off!
