Um, you can make the pH go up of down with SUPRISE pH Up or pH Down. Get it at your local hydro shop or online. Google. As for the nutrients, most nutes are pH buffered, which means you won't be changing the pH if you add nutes.

Well GUESS WHAT??? I've just entered my third week of flowering in my first grow, and I'm using a DWC, lol. It would be SO easy to throw a screen up and just go that way next time. I'm so in.

Generally, you're looking at 16 weeks for an "average" grow, eight weeks for veg, and eight for flowering. You can check the specifics when you buy the seeds, it should tell you. As for specific strains, I wouldn't know. Sorry.

Yea, overwatering sounds like it. Rockwool will REALLY hold the water in, so you shouldn't have to flood that often.

I don't know very much about the math, but I do know that our plants were flat out dying when we only had 1 pump in our 75 gallon system, so we added a second pump at about 1.5x volume of the first one, and it solved our problem. As far as optimum, dunno about that.

On a related note, anyone know how to use a Brix meter? Want to get one, but don't know how a refractometer is used/what results should be expected.
