Access door(s) in a dual rubbermaid grow

So does anyone have an idea about how to make 2 little doors on the rubbermaid air-tight? Here are some pics I snapped just now. This where I would like to be able to get at the insides of the box from. The top part will also have a hatch. This is the top part Where the hatch will be on...

Access door(s) in a dual rubbermaid grow

All I want to do with the molasses is use it for a pre-harvest flush. I would also like to try just sugar. I will not be buying another pump in the forseeable future. To combat brown slime (if we get it) I have been looking in to using H2O2 treatments

    First Grow/ PC Case

I'm trying to figure that out myself right now! My power bars each have a slots on the back to mount them, I'm using Rubbermaid containers, so I'm thinking of putting a door on it. If I do that, I will be mounting on the top. I think with you it really doesn't matter, a pc case is small in...

    First Grow/ PC Case

Hi Austin, Good start so far! For lining the inside, I would recommend black and white poly! Some people call it Panda film. I picked some up from the hydroponics store just the other day, $1 / ft of it, and each ft you get is 1'x10' because it expands as it unfurls. For your bulbs, you are...

Access door(s) in a dual rubbermaid grow

I'm currently putting together a dual Rubbermaid DWC grow. Each Rubbermaid is 107l, so fairly large. They are 16.5" tall, 18" deep, and 28 1/2" wide it is quite a bit longer than tall. I would really like to do a scrog grow, simply to maximize the amount of horizontal space used. At this...

Hyperan's First Timer Grow (Strain: Juicy Fruit)

Looks like a good start! My only recommendation would be to find something other than Juicy Fruit.

Lady J's First DWC Closet CFL Grow

True, storing the other door would be a bit of a hassle that is for sure. I've been setting up my own grow, every time I come home with something new, there has been one neighbour outside. I always forget lot's of people don't have tools. My girlfriend's step-father is a contractor so I'm...

    Spring water for DWC

For sure! I can get rain water as well, the mother-in-law has a giant rain barrel, and it's been pouring here lately! There's nothing wrong with my tap water, but why not use something different if it is available?

Lady J's First DWC Closet CFL Grow

Nice setup! I'm putting together my own DWC, I have everything except my nutes and meters. Just an FYI on your door situation: it is very easy to take a door off the hinges, all you need is a hammer and something pointy, and a plain Jane door can be picked up from Home Depot/Lowes etc for dirt...

    Spring water for DWC

As the title says, I am curious about using spring water for a DWC grow. I have access to as much of it as I want, and it is clean, drinkable water. Next time I am in the area I will gather a few liters and test the PPM and ph. Anything else I should be worried about? I have a feeling this...

    Polished aluminum grow box lining

Err... Do you have a source stating that Mylar doesn't reflect heat? Why would one use a Mylar windshield reflector if it did not reflect heat? It also goes by the name Reflectix, which is used as insulation, i.e to keep heat in.

    Too much Light!

I think you only have 'too much' light if your temperatures are too high, or you are burning your plants.

    Chinese LEDs from ebay

All of these are actually 3 watts, I had the datasheets attached for them, but they were removed. I'm in Canada as well, what would a few good brands to look in to be?

    Chinese LEDs from ebay

I'm a new grower extremely interested in LED growing. Everything so far has said that the best are Cree LEDs; however, I am curious as to the quality of the LEDs which can be purchased from Chinese manufacturers. People have complained that some Chinese LEDs do not concern themselves about...

    Polished aluminum grow box lining

Has anyone ever tried this? I've looked into it a bit, apparently the finest grade of polished aluminum that is sold has a light reflectance of 98%. Is there anything better than that? I know mirrors are far less efficient, due to the light having to pass through the glass twice: there...
