I just got a pack of new jars (Ball) and by god they DO smell, like more than they used to! I simply blew out the jars with a fan for a few seconds and things are fine, but I can see how if you didn't it would mess things up.

Good question, I switch but I've only done a couple grows with them so will be good to see what more experienced people say.

My plants do the same thing and I've not had any trouble from it, kind of figure it's normal wear and tear showing up. Nice grow you got going.

I'd say start over if you can. If not I'd say lots of luck; I'm not sure I'd do 24/7 seems like waaaaaay overkill in this case, pardon the pun. Cut them back to 18 hrs and give them a break and see if they pull through.

You have options, I think I'd do a scrog if I was you. The more I see of scrog the more I like it and I am planning on doing this myself perhaps on my next winter grow.

Good luck getting 72 deg water above 10 without supplemental oxygen since saturation is only 8.5 ppm at that temp. That is if you happen to have a Hach kit or YSI monitor hanging around to measure it in the first place.

And there is part of your problem. Do NOT boil the lids with the rubber gasket. They can be heated to about 180 degs or so, but do not boil. Buy some new lids they are sold separately.

What are you using for water? Looks like the new growth is okay? If it is don't worry about it too much could be just residual from the transplant. I see on here people think they have a problem and rush to a "solution" when in fact the "solution" is actually just adding another problem...
