idk about mass., but a friend of mine from MI was caught with 127 plants on 80 acres about 5 years ago. I guess out there they hire independent companies that fly around with ultralight planes and do the checking that way. Just fyi.

I heard if you bury the stem it will start to rot. That's not true? It'll just grow roots?

plants need complete darkness. Put in a dark closet at night, or at least as far away from your fishtank light as possible. It should start showing its sex in under a week. I'm no pro, but I do know that it will stay in veg until it gets enough straight darkness... unless its auto-flower.

Top it!! I topped mine at about 9 inches. You're going to want to go down to the nearest split in the staulk. Get as much as you can, otherwise it might not take (I had this happen with a couple of mine).
