For my indoor DWC grow I'm opting to go no tent. I see most people use carbon filters to deal with the smell. Can these work for open spaces? I expect she'll start gettin smelly soon so I'm wondering what would be the best way to handle it. I'm growing legally in an apartment, I could leave a...

The same thing happened to me. Problem was the light. The amazon recommended blurple ones that claim high wattage are bogus. A Quantom board with samsung LED's will really serve you well I think (It did for me). Something like the SF1000 or similar. Make sure it is close enough as well.

yeah I was quite surprised when I found out how high it was. I went out and got some distilled so after I added the trifecta, calmag, and hydrogaurd it was right around the 700 mark. thanks for the graphic 8)

update: day 28. she is much happier with the improved light it looks like. Still goin slow and no roots but making good progress. Will update when they finally come through. I just found out my tap water is 850 ppm which I think also might have had something to do with it as it borderline...

lol it's working well but was a huge pain, ripped the paint of my celling and had to mangle these metal hooks into a ring for the anchors so they wouldn't slip off.

Here is the new setup, SF says to keep brightness at 20-40% for "germination"? it's 30 inches above the clay.

rn I just have the ph and ppm meters, hopefully it's enough.
