    General Hydroponics

Good to know, I have about 3 weeks before I can get two plants going into flower the same day, and once I do I will be using one with the tried and true Technaflora formula, and the other will be the GH. This way I can have a good side by side and see which one seems to be the best. I only...

    General Hydroponics

I just bought the 3 part nutrient line from General Hydroponics (bloom, grow, micro) to try it out side by side with my current nutes to see which I like better. I am running it in RDWC. I have been tipped off that the Lucas formula is a good way to mix the nutes, but as it uses only 2 and I...

    powdery mildew

as long as it doesn't pose a health risk and still gets you high as it would normally I suppose some flavor and or harshness is more than an even trade t fix this.

    powdery mildew

ill pick this up in the morning. From what I've read about it I will use it as a spray on the leaves once a week until the problem is solved, but I read a few warnings against spraying the buds, specifically that the buds should not be smoked afterwards for some reason. Any insight on this?

    powdery mildew

This is a new problem for me and has been showing up with increasing regularity over the past two weeks. At first I just tried to pluck the offending leaves and I also sprayed three times with neem oil as I was told this was an easy solution. Well needless to say that the problem hasn't stopped...

First Grow Need Some Pointers part 4

Spider mites can be tough but I have personaly gotten rid of them for good in two separate gardens. The best way (all my own opinion and experiances) is to use a three prong assault. you will need 4 things. 1. Foiler sprayer (can get at home depot for under 20, its a nice pump canister with a...

    2 x 250w cfl(total 500w) VS 250w HPS

if its a 250w cfl and not the equivalent of, then the cfl is producing more light and on a broader spectrum. if it is the equivalent of 250 watts then the hps. The thing is, to my understanding, cfl has a much broader range of spectrum, but the hps is much a much more intense light of the...

    Identifying problem?

looks like it might be a phos deficiency. Chances are you just made a mistake when you were mixing your nutes, I suggest just changing the nutriants if its hydro or waiting until next cycle if otherwise, but I could be wrong...

    Carbon Filter

His advice about a big fan only works if you will expand if you don't want to here is some reasoning for fan noise. Big fans are loud, they make mufflers If you already have a small fan they don't make mufflers for them because they are relatively quite. If the noise is bothering you you're...

    Wha'chu know 'bout dem LEDs

More precisely the flood light variant. I have always stayed true to HPS as it is reliable and I don't know anyone first hand who has anything at all to say about LED lights. But then I stumbled upon these. http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Ten...d-Spectrum.asp. What do you think? Anyone have any...

    LED questions

the chart is very helpful but that obo place seems to only be toys and desk lamps, nothing you'd want to use for growing unless I'm mistaken.

    LED questions

Would something like this http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Ten-Pack---LED-Spotlight-Bulb-TriBand-Spectrum.asp work/be worth the investment for suplemental lighting. Lets say I line up 10 of these around my room to supplement 3000ws of hps over my 18 plants?

    LED questions

I was just about to post a similer thread, so although I offer no solution to you decep, I will ad a few questions and give the thread a bump. Can anyone recommend a site to buy affordable LEDs? what is the equivalent of a 1000w hps in LED? What PERSONAL experience do you have with LED and...

I'm starting to think a lot is just fisherman tales, it could also be simple mistakes. Is that 8 ounces per plant wet after manicured? I can do that sometimes to. And I know it is possible to get 8 ounces from a plant, I got 6 myself once. ONCE. I have a hard time believing any set up, on a...
