I was actually looking for some help, the light is currently hanging 40" from the top of the powergrower bucket. Should it be higher/lower or its just right? and when the plant starts growing how high should it be from the top of the plant throughout the grow with such a powerful light.

Hey I understand where your coming from, but this was handed to for free! Ballast,Reflector, and mh bulb and all. So at this point would it be worth it to spend another 200-300 bucks for a lower wattage light? I do plan on expanding the grow room and eventually added more plants.

Yea the tent was prob a bad idea, it is kind of small. The tent would have gone in a closet with a clothes rod rack anyway, I could hang the light from there and cover the closet with mylar, would this help with the heat and growth issues at all? The closet is prob about 8 or 9 feet tall and...

My main concern is the plant dieing from burn or something like that, is it possible to have to much light on one plant?

25-30 bucks is a small price to pay for a steady supply of primo bud.

thats the info from the dark room tent, the material is made for what I want to do and I can get a fan to circulate the air, plus is always cold where I live(dont know if this makes a difference at all).

CFLs huh arent they not as good as a HID light though and anything specifically you would recommend for such a small crop...
