i had mine on 24 hours and seemed to work out great, but i've read a lot since and i've heard people say plants always need some dark periods for growth , also that the difference between 24/0 and 18/6 is not that big as far as growing but can save money on electricity so why not turn em off...i...

Im on my first grow but i would think that CFL is the way to go, if anything their easier to work with (smaller, easily moved, etc)..if T-8 were good to grow with you'd see people growing only with them, not CFL, ya know? i know their ok to start the plants on...i started my seedlings under t-8...

I can't beleive i read that whole thread...i think i'm gonna go up now and shoot myself while holding 258 cfls over a stairway so they poison my large suburb full of unfriendly neighbors, and i'll leave the doors unlocked so they can steal my shotgun and go rob the local drinking hole for all...

Its pretty funny that i happened to see this cause a few days ago i was looking around the forums here and theres a very long thread started by someone who took a branch of their pot and put it in blue food dye. it looked just like that but they said it tasted terrible....not sure where it was...

thanks, no idea what strain, just some really nice bud that i think someone must have left a male around too long and i ended up with an oz of it...so i took the seeds and started my first grow.

about the stretching...if your plants do strech and you have room in your pot, is it ok to just add more dirt to make them shorter?...i've done this with some of my plants just to make them stronger and it seemed to work out ok.

thanks, you should check out the cfl subgroup, join the R.C.C(Rollitup CFL Crew), theres plenty of people to talk to about them... i get all my lights at home depot or lowes. im nto exactly sure how long i veged them for since it was my first grow i didnt pay enough attention to the calendar...

that is very very true, but i always like to experiment, btw all the little sprouts i planted have come up out of the dirt...germinated, planted and shown their first little leaves all within like 5 mayybe 6 days.

i think its possible to make a plant looking like the one i showed...you just have to train it to stay small and get a thick trunk all in the veg stage for as long as it takes and then flower it when you want to...

im not sure if its possible...i do know how 5o grow bonsai but the thing is it takes a long time...but maybe you can just keep growing a small plant leaving the buds on it...idk i think they'd get moldy...buds can't grow back right? either way i got a small stunted plant now im gonna try it with

i was searching on the net a year or two ago on how to make hash and came across the butane method...i saw a video on youtube of some guys with a PVC setup, it seemed to work pretty well. Anyway i just went to search again to put it up ther and there seems to be a few videos...try typing in...

i may have to disagree to some extent on that one, i have my ladies in the basement and the door on my grow box is about two inches short of being flush(making a good seal) so whenever i HAVE to turn the light on in the daytime they get disrupted a bit i guess...i havent seen any problems...
