Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

Do love mixing coffee grounds (used!) in my soil. Sometimes I’ll water down a little fresh hot coffee and add it to whatever I’m using in my pump sprayer if it doesn’t already have nitrogen and the plants seem they could use a little. If just coffee and extra water I’ll even give them a little...

    6wks durbin poison...hows it look??

Very nice. You indoor folks make me a little envious sometimes, haha. I agree with @hotrodharley- supposed to be a longer flower time, even with a little Indica mixed in (which a lot of DP has, I’ve read.) The leaves look Sativa. Looks like a great first grow, to me. Stay patient. Listen to the...

Any freakshow growers around? What sort of phenotypes have you had?

I’ve never read much about the genetics; mostly you’ll come across the story of how he spent decades growing, then began picking the phenos for FS when he noticed the mutation and how he worked in on stabilizing the mutation.

Any freakshow growers around? What sort of phenotypes have you had?

Not on my social media hardly at all anymore, excepting here, haha. But I will go check it out, for sure. I enjoy the freaks.

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

Manure runoff is what often leads to E. Coli outbreaks from spinach and other vegetables grown in or near runoff. Good link, good science.

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

So, you seem like someone conscious about the contents of your soil and environmental effects, so I’m going to share a problem folks like us run into trying to source quality organic ingredients. I cheat with my nutrients sometimes, but I am working on creating a large batch of soil I can reuse...

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

Yeah I doubt the microbe thing and wouldn’t trust my own mouth.

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

Why not mix in some actual dirt to make soil like good ol’ Nature does?

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

May have some validity in thinking there may be beneficial microbes. My guess is really the warm moisture and your salivic acid just helps soften or remove the protective coat on the seed so the sprout can push out easier.

Any advice for a lost soul?

If God/Universe is infinite then the only thing keeping it from being truly infinite/omnipotent is the lack of knowing what it’s like to NOT be infinite/omnipotent. That’s where we come in. We’re like pieces of the whole that do not realize we are the Whole. It’s like the Creator made a mirror...

    Healthy if short

You can slowly vegetate it, or you can blast it with lights and nutes to grow fast. The important thing is that it is healthy and trained/shaped/trimmed up when you switch it to flip the light schedule to flower. Assuming it is photoperiod and not autoflower.

Organic Autoflowers First Time Solo Grow

(Edit: my statement is below is wrong but leaving it here to humble myself, and link to this other RIU thread. Happy Gardening! https://www.rollitup.org/t/fox-farm-is-not-100-organic.222595/ )Hate to break it to you but FF isn’t organic all the way. But- if talking simply “organic” material...

    Healthy if short

Looks healthy. It’s an Indica, isn’t it? How many nodes/sets of leaves? If you’re taking it all the way through indoor it seems a little smaller than some for it’s age, but I only get mine going indoor, then transfer to greenhouse/outside, so a slow start/weaker lighting doesn’t matter as much...

Kwazulu Strain- Who has grown it? Particularly outdoors, but interested in your indoor comments, too...

Ah, yes- Power Flower. I knew it soundt familiar (yes, that’s how I spell sounded because that’s how I say it, haha). The more I read about it, it seems a chem-flip may be easier in the long run- thanks for promoting the idea. A local place sells the same sts they use. The two adult KZ I have...

Kwazulu Strain- Who has grown it? Particularly outdoors, but interested in your indoor comments, too...

Thanks. Temperate rainforest here, too, but have gotten pretty good about managing mold. I think I’ve read through most if not all of the articles online for Kwazulu- not a lot out there so I turn here. Hoping to cross it with Durban Poison. Both are growing here well, and I just took clones a...

Any freakshow growers around? What sort of phenotypes have you had?

Old post now but how did your clone go? i’ve had a hard time sexing mine and now that I have what looks to be a solid female, I want to clone her. Problem is finding a sizeable offshoot on mine- seems to just be shade leaves with snug little growths at the nodes, all the way up to the top cola...

3 days on jack's 5-12-26 and the plants are loving it! Bye bye General Hydroponics forever

Here is a great interview from a huge organic gardening proponent talking to one of the developers of Jack’s. I’m very much about soil and organics but I might try it sometime as she (the Jack’s person) makes very good points and stresses that you don’t need lots of nutrients for them to work...

    Seedling males dumping pollen already?

I was using 99% Isopropyl from Green Scissors last fall to help contain first signs of botrytis so I could finish out good sections. Didn’t seem to hurt the plants much as it evaporates so quickly, which also helps to take moisture with it. I wouldn’t go crazy with it as has a very strong...

    33% THC

Sounds like quantity over quality. You can produce patiently crafted quality indoor or outdoor, but I think the combo of soil microbes, fresh air, and full sunshine just helps the process when conditions are right. I’m a fan of outdoor or mixed-light (as I do), but I think that some people...
