U right u can add just magnesium like h&g one or u can add calmag that has iron in it too :) its a bit dfclt to overdose calmag unless u got nut and add like 10 ml. I use botanicare calmag and give 50% of lowest dose , never had any def. i might not get them even if i stop calmag but its bottle...

So this is my 3rd in this setup roots do get tangled but i have a lot of air and they do just fine. My approach is to grow staiva dominants so they grow tall but narrow. Spacing def not good but i trim them them so all stems are separate. Will prob get thme to 2 ft then flip prob 1 more week

i had amazing grow with just base nutes and calmag , no chiller no AC no humdity control, so yes ur right on that. then same as u ,i added silicate and difference was day and night. Now with pictures , they dont really mean anything cuz everyone's environment is different ,everyone's water...

I think ppm strong/ weak has to do with strain and palnt health too, i top fed mimosa clones 350 ppm (water 250 ppm ) and grew amazing also i top fed 600 ppm (250 ppm water my current gelatos) 9 day old clones and they grew fine, i also use 3 stage filtered tap and ph always goes to 6.4 after...

So to sum it up u need to buy enzymes bit tote waste water make sure they are root free and u can re use them :) or do the math and maybe its worth just buying new one :) i reused it this grow and regretted

I dont know the size of your system but hydroton are not that expensive considering how much time u need to invest in cleaning it and if u didnt clean in properly thats will cause lot of issues. i replace it every grow to not worry if i cleaned them well
