That's interesting that the 2 gallons are shorter, I would of expected other wise. Although it makes sense if the 2 gallons are shorter because they have more soil located towards the top so less soil usable by the roots. Do you expect your plants to get much taller? By "massive" do you mean...

My main light is fine. I already got a 400 HPS, I need supplementation because I'm growing two generations and when my light is at the right for the 5 week old plants it will be too high for the seedlings.

That's because outside it can get nutrients from the environment. FFOF is meant to be used in conjunction with Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. Indoors the only thing the plants get is what you give it.

1. Measure the ph of your water. 2a. If your water ph is above your designated ph. Use ph down until it is in the acceptable range. 2b. If your water ph is below your designated ph. Use ph up until it is in the desired range. 3. Water your plant with the adjusted water.

You use it to adjust the ph of your water and that adjusts the ph of your soil.

I'd say those got a week or two left. Just be patient, it's worth it.

True enough sativas can be hard to tame. I prefer lst but to each his own. So this is actually working for you? Do your branches end up skinny?

Don't chop it early. It's expected that lower fan leaves die towards the end of flowering. You can trim some fan leaves to give light to lower bud sites but don't trim too many at once or you will stress the plant. Pics would help as well.

It might be more effective to just tell noobs to anticipate the stretch.

You don't think the plants will stretch to get more light? Like they do during every other period of growing.

Your problem is you need to add nutes. You should start adding nutes week 2. FFOF is only good for like a month tops with out nutes depending on your pot size.

Start giving them nutes at 2 weeks.
