how long do they have left? (4 strains, 1 aero setup)

Hey guys. So I knew I would run into this problem, but I have 4 different strains in an aero system with one res, and now that its getting closer to harvest I'm not sure when to flush. I'm thinking of giving them two more weeks; the desert diesel and the cotton candy are probably going to take...

    SCROG how to?

Here ya go: Each one of these plants (except the new guy in the little cup lol) had four "actual" tops before I tied them down. It also helps keep your plants short and the light close for nice tight node spacing, plus it helps you fill up a bigger space/screen with less plants and less veg...

    SCROG how to?

I don't have any good links to tutorials, but ill tell you this: if you're planning to scrog, its all about the pre-screen training. Don't just top the plants once PR twice and throw a screen over top of them right before flower. I like to fim/top for about 4 tops, letneach top get about 4...

    Help with my skinny buds

I also did that (tool off tons of leaves) on my first grow and it definitely doesn't help, especially with flavor. There are people out there that talk about how "the buds need light" but Ive never read anything saying that buds photosynthesize. The fan leaves are definitely the workhorses of...

what does this look like to you-- over feeding or light stress?

Hey treedabler, the ballast is a dimmable 1000w with a turbo setting (turbo= +10 or 15 percent, so its like 11-1150w) and prior to cropping the soil plants, the light was about 18 inches @ turbo setting and the bulb was directly above the cotton candy. Since then I've raised it to about 24-26...

what does this look like to you-- over feeding or light stress?

Hey guys, so I'm running 4 plants in an aeroponic system, and just finished harvesting my white lavender soil plants. Btw, for anyone who is following I don't think I'm quite gonna double my grams per watt from my first run; it was .56 the first time and this time it'll probably be closer to...

Light stressed plant: in need of healing

Okay, so I have a pretty big tent (5'x5') and a magnum xxxl hood; it has a really big footprint, so it helps my whole setup work pretty well bc my ballast goes up to like 11 or 1200 watts, so it spreads it all out evenly. I usually only run it at 1000w, but I tried kicking it up to the "turbo...

Who's using General Organics with their Hydro system?

And as far as the steroid analogy-- yeah, good point on that not being a good analogy, lol. The way I look at it, is like this: synthetic = soluble, organic = non soluble. You can call hydro nutes "synthetic", when really they are "chelated" and more often that not from natural/organic sources...

Who's using General Organics with their Hydro system?

Haven't read the whole thread, but I was told today at the grow store that there is a customer using the "go box" or whatever its called, and they said he's having great results. BUT! There are 2 things in the box that can't be used in hydro systems, can't remember which ones. Funny this...

    ph drift .....

What are the ingredients of your pH up and down? For me personally, I only ever have to use the pH down, and I use botanicares stuff but it is phosphoric acid, so it breaks down into usable phosphorous for the plant. I use a 20 gallon res with 10-12 gallons, and sometimes I have to add like...

    which hydro system to use?

Yeah, dwc is super simple and a great place to start with hydro, IMO. Personally, I started out in soil, and after I harvested my first run I set up a simple aeroponics system-- it was really easy to design and build, and I set up a 4 site for less than $40 including the fountain pump. I...

    is my res too cold?

Btw, thanks a bunch for the help guys. + rep to everyone who's helped out. Here's a few pics of how the gals are doing. I've popped 8 paid seeds now altogether, and all but 1 of them have been good enough to be keepers. Blue dream Desert diesel I think that ones the purple wreck Blue dream...

    is my res too cold?

Sweeeeet, some good info I'm reading here. Yeah, see I heard you HAD to have bennies (from my local grow store guy), but I've definitely been going the sterile route instead, and has worked well for me so far--surprisingly so, considering the fact that I have clear lines and light leaks like...

who all is using botanicares KIND line?

Agreed-- one really could grow super dank for really cheap. The nutrient bottles are definitely easier, having feeding schedules and whatnot, but still-- you can't argue with the bull price on a lot of these salts. I'm definitely gonna be on the lookout for some potassium silicate

couldn't find pondzyme--are these safe to use?

The other one, the "sludge reducer" doesn't have a list of ingredients, but here's what the back of the box says: I think this is the product that I was really needing (not to mention the cheaper of the 2-- only $4 and it treats 1000 gallons).

couldn't find pondzyme--are these safe to use?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I also noticed the copper in the ingredients; I know copper alone is not bad for the plant (and is one of the micro nutrients if I'm not mistaken) but I'm not sure how high the levels are, or at what point the levels become toxic.

who all is using botanicares KIND line?

Yeah, hell the "base" nutrient to the 3 part system is just nitrogen and calcium, if you look at the ingredients its just calcium nitrate, which is a salt you can buy in bulk. In fact, you can look at most nutrient bottles ingredients and as long as its a salt, then you can buy it in bulk...

couldn't find pondzyme--are these safe to use?

Hey guys, the pictures show fish in the water so I'm assuming these are safe to use, just wanted to post pics and make sure since I haven't heard of anyone using these in particular. Thanks a bunch
