Well guys the white stuff would be mold, as far as the bug...that's a white thrip sucking the sweet juices right out of the stem while the mold is eating the leftovers. If you have dead leaves under your plants this attracts them....as far as getting rid if them and the mold in one shot... 1-2...

If your going to continue using natural light and hight isn't an issue then I wouldn't worry about topping or fimming

You can make it grow taller with dropping the temp at night...or adding light with something in red spectrum, hope all that helps good luck!

Yes!! You want to try to keel humidity down while lights are off and plants dry....never spray at night! Also turn those lights on all day right now!!! 18-24...that small keep it on unless your trying to grow a tall plant.

Light misting often is the best...try to Avoid large droplets from forming as these will cause light prisms and under intense light can leave burn spots

Yes it does sound like cal mag and or possibly potassium....which could actually be iron lock out....if you can try to find the ph of your run off as this will let you know if that is the case...anything above 7.3 will begin to show signs of potassium def due to iron lock out...your watering...
