no clue what you mean by the %'s.. I got charged $21.20 for the first 200kwh, then $52.20 for the next 600kwh, then $10.64 for the last 133kwh, with a total of 933kwh for $84.04

my electric bill says 10.6 cents for the first 200kwh 8.7 cents for the next 600kwh 8 cents for anything over the first 800kwh they don't give you a discount for using more or less. they just have sorta a tier system for it. so I'd be paying 25.92 for a 600 watt hps running on 18/6 for one month

I thought it usually went the other way around? they charge you so much for the first so many kw/h's, then a lower price for the rest.

a power strip is ok to use. generally you can add up the watts of everything you're running to make sure the circuit can handle it all. a 15 amp breaker can safely handle about 1500 watts, and a 20 amp breaker can safely handle about 2000 watts. you might have other rooms on the same breaker, so...

pretty sure it's a bigger socket and a different ballast. you can go to home depot or lowes and pick up the whole thing "security light" take the globe off it, mount and wire it, and it's ready to use. that's what I'm considering trying.

my cfl bulbs are about 1 inch from the plants. as long as they don't ever touch, it is ok that way, but it doesn't take long to burn the leaves. the other day, 2 leaves bumped a bulb for about 3 seconds. burned to a crisp, seriously.

my supplier just got some new stuff $120 an oz, but he says he paid to much for it, and it's still to moist.
