If you are growing that many, may as well stick with the HID, as you'll need the light higher as not to burn your babies, the extra lumens will cover a much greater area. I get my HPS about 6-8 inches from my plant, cooltube is a must.

I use 20/4 for my auto grows and had great results (link to journal in my sig) Start my grow off with a 200w CFL Envirolite then switch to the 400w HPS. Don't see the point in wasting electricity on the 400w to start plants off with when a CFL does a great job.

Day 25 Flowering. White Widow. 400w HPS

Here's my WW at day 25 flowering, the tallest buds in the middle are 22cm from the screen. Had a bit of a leaf yellowing problem, hopefully corrected.

25 days flowering Thanks NC. Here's a lights off shot. The tallest bud is 22cm from the screen with a bit more buddage below screen. I've hopefully corrected the yellowing leaf issue, Organic nutes are slow to release so have to be patient.

Thanks GWN. Just flushed them with tap water (been sat for 24hrs) + molasses. I think the problem was actually the filtered water. The PH of the filtered water was about 6.5 (only have test strips) and adding the extra nutes lowered the PH. From now on, only using tap water + nutes.

Haha, thanks stonedcold, really happy with her so far. The whole plant has been LST'd for weeks and the buds; as you can see, are nicely spread out and are getting an even spread of light. Lowering the light anymore would mean the side buds would loose out on some lumens. Unfortunetly I had...

if you adjust your PH down to 6, adding nutes after this could lower it even more. Do you check the PH of the water that runs out of the bottom of the pot? PS. I added a sick plant guide to my original post.

I think the first question that needs answering is what is your drainwater PH? If this is off (as can happen when using rockwool) then all the nutes in the world won't help you. Have a look here (sick plant guide)
