i have both in a 2 bulb fixture, i dont know about going 50/50 though? i do know i have read lots about having some 5k-6500 in the budding room but i only use about 1/8 of the off spectrum.. and for prev poster.. im giving that picture a rep bump. sweet :+)

im thinking if its 2ft x 2ft x 4ft high, you aint getting no 4ft fixtures over that box? only 2x2 wont give you a lot of room of running them down the sides and having a plant in there either? With 4ft in height.. you could just go with say.. 4 x 23 watt twisted tube, house lights and at 2 ft go...

are you adding the 2 weeks before counting? when you first take your plants from veg to bud... it takes 2 weeks to actually start budding so if you dont count the first two weeks, is it inline with estimates then? just a thought.

i noticed same thing, ( longer than quoted bud times), i added more lights and buds got much bigger and ripened much faster. I had a huge wattage underage though, im still only at about 700 watts for a 4'x8' grow tent. I figured i need at least 500 watts per 4x4 area

they have packages of them at diff home improvement stores, i think home depot has best deal, 4-5 bulbs for like 7-8 usd.. if you just switch out your spirals you can keep one or two 6500 bulbs going also, i ahve 2 5k going in a 4'x8' tent and the rest are 2700-3000.

if you put splitters in them pans, you can double the lights but the problem i had was i had to cut up the pans cuss splitters at 45% would fit, i filled in holes with alum foil on back of pans.. i deff wanted the pans, the clips on them pans so i can raise and lower lights real ez. good luck...

you need about 20% more wattage in cfl for same lumens for the hotter, electric hog types.. that tent's demensions are extremly small for the price? i got a 4'x8' tent for $160.. i understand the space limits but you can get a cardboard box and some black and white plastic, ( also called panda...

i would deff use good seeds, buy from here or any reputable seed company, i got some real good ones after a year of growing with seeds i pulled out of some real good commercial. budding time went way down because its not field weed, um, good way to look at it is i went from field corn to sweet...

you need them 2700 bulbs for budding, you need 5000-6000 for veging stage, ( where you are) its good to have one of the others in there too, to add balance, keeping ONE 2700 will make the plant have more offshots and not just straight up. If cost is against ya? just buy one 42watt 5k one.. here...

Them buds usually swell up to 2x the size just a week or two before its time for harvest. Red hairs on most of my strains are about all red and the big bud one is like...

no problem dude, you just need to have 3 spaces.. they can all be in a 4x8 ft space but wont get them quite so often, for one a week i have 4x8 ft budding room. but you could split another 4x4 top bottom for clones / seedlings and veg growth... i have my 4x8 budding room on for 12/12 and my veg...

last 2 weeks the buds go thru a puffing up that you will deff see, its how i know its getting real close, besides tracs. This will put a big smile on your face when you see it happening.

after doing lots of reading, i think i have 2 problems! first is i grew way past my wattage on my lights, really didnt want 3 freaking closets full but thats how i ended, i have my 4x8 ft grow tent with 500 watts of cfl now.. just got a couple more, was 450. will be adding more as fast as i can...

um, dont you want the 6500 for veg and the 2700 for budding? from Dr. Cronic's tut on this site.
