My question is: There are two plants,one light green and the other one dark green. The light green plant smells weed while the dark green one doesn't.They are of the same size and age. What's that about?

The little leaves are growing bigger.Luckily, it's a sunny day:) So i keep turning them around. Spinning plants:) A weird thing... One plant is darker and the other one is lighter shade of green. The lighter-shade one smells weed while the other one with little leaves doesn't smell weed...
