    Rules of Debate/Civility

I'm not sure if this will be believed but my best friend at school had the name Geoffrey Fagge. A fag or fag end is a slang term for cigarette in UK. Faggots were bundles of kindling and sticks used to light fires. The origin of the word Fag/fagget being used as a derogatory term for...

    Rules of Debate/Civility

I have exactly the same issue. Despite being a left wing libertarian who despises racism and homophobia, I still use certain terms that have been becoming unacceptable for the last decade, as a matter of course. I think it's a generational thing AND, the terminology never offends any of the...

It all seems very high tech.... Is it your first grow or your first grow using LED's and gadgets with Liquid Crystal displays...???

    Repotting (with expanded clay)???

When I move a 18lt (4.775 US G) Pot, so I can dip a sample from the res, the clay still seems loose. This made me a little nervous at the idea of changing pots mid-grow. This time it isn't an issue because I am using the 18lt pots from start to finish. But I just got the Wilma 20 and, tomorrow...

Who Is The Most Respected Person ALIVE on Earth...???

It is my opinion that Nelson Mandela was, by far, the most respected person on the face of the planet. Now he has died I cannot think of anyone who even comes close to having a similar degree if respect on an international level. But, more than this, I cannot think of anyone who is respected...

    Repotting (with expanded clay)???

I now have a Wilma Big 9 and a Wilma 20. The Big 9 has (9 x) 18lt pots and the 20 has (20 x) 6.5litre pots. My plan was to put seedlings/cuttings in the 6.5's under MH to veg, then Re-pot them into the 18's, under HPS, to bud them. But expanded clay doesn't get bound into a...

    1st time main-lining journal......

I found the links that you and budolskie posted - Man ! they are EXPENSIVE for what they are....! A few feet of bent wire. I think I can probably knock out my own Plant Supports without paying that kind of money. CLONES CAN BE USED FOR MAINLINING, according to NUGBUCKETS, "IF THE CLONES ARE...

    1st time main-lining journal......

J After reading every post for the first 8 pages I've found this connection to plant rings....but then it drifts onto other stuff and I have not found the company. You've mentioned the price and BUD told you he got 3 smaller ones for £1 at POUNDLAND but then the drift kicks in.... PS Is this...

I arrived fashionably late to this thread... Up to very recently I thought 'mainlining' was intravenous drug use.... I'll trawl through the entire thread.

A Retraction and an Apology concerning Mitt Romney dead from wanking thread.... Attitude. I tried to tell you guys.

You cannot put that on The Attitude. It's distance financial management is farmed out to highly professional financial institutions. They probably use the same firm, with the same security measures, as Ebay or paypal..... It's not some bloke with a ballpoint and a note pad putting down his...

I grow in clay pebbles using Hydro but I was pushed into it. For first grows I would also recommend GOOD SOIL. (Like the posters above). It's more forgiving and less fast moving than pebbles/hydro - where one mistake can mean THE END. As for 'take your time.... grow a few plants.... don't buy...

Thoughts regarding Wattage effecting yield and potency, let's apply it to Vert!

This is assumption, on my part, but I would think that running 2000w (5 x 400w lamps) used more energy than running 2000w (2 x 1000w lamps). ??? 5 Ballasts and 5 bulbs as opposed to 2 and 2. Efficiency would be compromised. Plus this entire study was carried out with the intention of...

CFL's are best for plants in their earliest stages. Personally I buy cuttings and put them straight under MH's. 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.0 I have 2 x Wilma Big 9's in a space/tent that size. 18 plants in 18litre pots. Your plan is 16 plants in 8.5litre pots. Less plants/smaller pots.... My system seems...

Thoughts regarding Wattage effecting yield and potency, let's apply it to Vert!

Quote "All this being said, has anyone ever previously read this, and taken it into account, swapping out for instance 2 1000W set ups for 5 400Ws? I'm really interested in finding data regarding g/W yields, overall g yield, and time spent on the grow overall. I wonder what others think when...
